not the best 2nd quarter for frank as he had two bad turnovers and missed his only shot attempt on a wide open 3. solid on the other end though, kemba hasn't scored on him at all and france is up by 6

After a good start, Frank once again hiding, playing soft and looking like he doesn't belong.
France is also trying to play him at the point, which is the same mistake the Knicks made with him. Frank simply doesn't have the skills nor the mindset to be a PG.

Re: The Next Official All things Frank Ntilikina Thread
No, it's a biased vision of Frank's game. It's not terrible.
So far objectively the good points are :
- absolutely present defensively, he annoys a lot Kemba !
- He mooves well off ball on D to cut passes
- not scared to take shots when he has the opportunity
bad points :
- very hesitant running the ball, probably a bit nervous
- the hand-to-hand organization fits him well but he needs to give more solutions (attacking mostly)
- 3 TO
France up by 6 at the HT ! lots of tension but Bald God Evan is here ! And Rudy is having a great game

Not only that, he looks afraid without any self-esteem.
Yeah he doesn’t really play with confidence. You hate to see it

It’s like when lil bitches make subliminal records, if it ain’t directed directly at me, I don’t respect it

Then he is not a basketball player. He can't shoot well enough to be a SG and he isn't big enough to play any other position.

Frank’s a situational defensive stopper.

I've made the point that he can neither play on the ball nor off the ball on offense. He's incompetent in both roles.
However, developing his off-ball skills (mainly cutting and spot-up shooting) will require less of him than working on his on-ball skills, where he's too far behind to ever catch up. He doesn't have a good handle, he can't shoot off the dribble, he doesn't have great speed, his first step is slow as molasses, he doesn't have great vision, he can't make quick decisions, he's indecisive, he lacks aggression... That's just too much to work on. I guess here's hope for him as an off-ball player. I personally don't see it for reasons I've already explained ad nauseam, but it's an attainable goal.

France doesn’t need him on Sg, having much better Fournier and Nando there. He’s playing on Pg mostly because Huertel is injured.

True, I forgot about that.
PS: Good attack and finish by Frank.

Re: The Next Official All things Frank Ntilikina Thread
Frank had a nice first quarter. He's added a hesitation move to his game and used it blow by Barnes in an open court opportunity and made some nice passes.
Second quarter was tougher. Team USA adjusted o try and take away the PnR and Frank turned it over twice then De Colo almost threw it away too. Frank got a wide open three and took his time instead of taking it in rhythm (aimed it imo).
The good news is he's shut down Kemba...all the way shut down. Dude has not been a factor. Frank just drew Kemba's third foul and forced him to the bench to start this third quarter.
Also, it's worth noting that France always runs that one play where the PG comes across the half court and hits a wing that's swinging across the court, through the paint (and a screen) and attacking from a wing. The US has tried to slow this up and it's left the French PG's dribbling in place waiting...it looks bad for the PG but gets Batum and Fournier great opportunities.
Frank is having a really nice third quarter, another drive and finish. France switched to a zone though and USA has hit a pair of three's right off the bat.
Edit: and they ended the zone. Frank out now.

The starters need to all be back in now. Time for some urgency.
