Isaiah’s advanced and per minute stats were even better on the Cavs and Clippers btw. Higher points, assists, blocks, etc. He just fouled more before basically.
Thibs did not make Isaiah. If anything he held him back a bit, and made him change his game in order to fit what he wanted. Isaiah took 5 less FGA per 100 possessions with us and had an Ast % almost half of what he did the 2 years before.
I will not be surprised if he blossoms more in OKC. Thibs is great for getting some guys, especially centers, to play well in his system but he definitely can limit them. That may have definitely been another reason he left.
that would make sense to me-hence the real reason he went to OKC TW...

I also agree with TW. He can shoot 3s but we never let him. Imagine when that’s back in his arsenal.

Well now we don’t have very many assets

Precious should return for sure. He's not iHart as a passer but he has a pretty good sense about moving the ball. He needs to get some moves that he feels comfortable repeating and stay aggressive with his long wingspan. He has a ceiling still.

KG why do you think he left?

Cheap centers like iHart this past season helped us get the #2 seed after Mitch went down... without iHart we would probably have lost to Sixers in 1st rd, the offensive reb, the pass to OG that led to the Divo 3 pointer, then the game sealing block on Maxey, we would have lost Game 2 without him.
Cheap/ complementary players like Derrick White, Al Horford are a big reason why teams win championships. When we ALREADY have stars like JB and Randle, we don't go for another star, this is not 2K or fantasy team, "let's put together a team of as many as 25ppg players and we'll win the chip!!!" See Phoenix Suns exhibit.

+1. He was solid. And when he started in a pinch for that stretch (in Jan I think?) he rebounded the sht out of the ball.
Dario Saric could be another option. Seems like he's been around forever, but still only 30 years old. Per 36 numbers are at or above his career average including 9+ rebounds. Shot 37.6% from downtown and 39.1% the year before. Good passer for a big.
