Re: The LeBron Thread
^^^ that doesn't sound logical at all. If the roles were reversed and Lebron said Cavs-Knicks-Clippers everyone would be rejoicing here. If you saw Bulls/Heat fans saying that because he didn't mention their team it implied that he was keeping a secret, you all would be having a fields day laughing at that notion. Did you catch the part where King said that he's a Wizards fan? So he wasn't pushing Lebron to consider the Clippers over the Knicks. In fact, King said he singled out the Clippers.

well if someone points out someone in general and they talk about its as yes thats a possibility than its not the same as mentioning a team without being pushed that way. He singled out the Knicks when saying LA, Boston and NY need to be on top for NBA to be great.

Re: The LeBron Thread
Ok. Let's just clear some things up. Bulls fans don't believe Lebron is coming to Chicago. We all know that it would be a complete shot in the dark. Nobody expects it, it's not realistic. That said, trying to argue that the Knicks current team+ Chris Bosh is better than the Bulls current team as it stands is asinine. Did you see any Raptors games this year? They were worse, much worse, than the Bulls. They even had the overhyped 7 ft sharpshooter just like the Knicks do. The current Knicks + Bosh would be a worse team than the Bulls. "Fit" doesn't matter. Great players learn how to play with each other, it's as simple as that. Great players can adjust their playing styles in order to make it work. To think that a lesser player like Gallo would be a better option next to Lebron than Derrick Rose is downright stupid.
Rose is not a shoot first player. He is not a ball dominant player. Derrick Rose came into the league trying to pass it to Ben Gordon and Kirk Hinrich and refusing to shoot himself. It progressed into this year, as he continued to differ to amazing players like Hinrich, Luol Deng, John Salmons and Jannero Pargo. He refused to take on the lead scoring role. This went on until Kobe basically told him that he had to take over every game and try to win them by himself. Then, what do you know, Derrick started scoring and the Bulls ripped off a 5 game win streak on their west coast road trip. Rose continued to assert himself as the main scoring option for the rest of the year. Why you may ask? Because he saw that it led a better chance at WINNING, and all he really cares about is WINNING, and he doesn't care how. Derrick Rose would prefer to take 0 shots in a game and get 20 assists than to have to be the main scorer like he did this season. To compare him to players like Marbury, Francis and Iverson is the equivalent of claiming Gallo is comparable to someone like Kyle Korver or Jason Kapono. They shoot 3's, and they're white. Hopefully you guys can understand how ridiculous that is.

Let me make this part clear...i'm trying to 'guess' what Lebron is going to do based on what my opinion of how I've seen other championship caliber players handle themselves when it comes to the sport they play.
While you and many others have made it seem that he's so concerned about his image, i'm trying to argue that he just wants to win a championship...anywhere....and SOON.
So while you might look at it as Lebron 1 vs. Jordan 6...i just happen to believe he'd be thinking "Lebron James - championship player and man that's special."
A championship is a championship....special. His individual stats will determine where he stands among the greats and as a global icon...but he has to get that one championship first, regardless of where it is and he knows it. Getting a ring is priority ONE. That's allz I'm sayin.
LeBron wants to be the best ever. If he just gets a ring than its not enough especially in Chicago with the person who hes trying to reach has 6. In NY hell be further away from that and be in an arguably better position to win. If he wins 3-4 here he will be in discussion for best ever. In Chicago, because of all the hype Rose gets, because he would have (presumably) Bosh, because he is under MJs shadow it will never be close to the same.
Are you Lebron? How do you know that? Heck Kobe gets compared to MJ to this day. Does he go run and hide...no. He embraces the challenge and so will LeBron wherever he chooses to go. Let the MJ shadow thing go, please. If LeBron played for the Clippers you don't think people would still compare him to MJ? What about the Knicks? People say "oh if he just wins one ring he'll be the King of the city." Excuse me, but LeBron said he wants to win multiple titles, that wouldn't make him better than Kobe or put him in the conversation with the greatest of all time, AND the media would still say that he has 5 more to go. 3-4 titles still won't be good enough to be proclaimed the best ever, sorry. If it hasn't worked for Kobe, it won't work for LeBron. Using the MJ shadow theory as a basis for why he shouldn't go to Chicago is just silly. "All the hype Rose gets" well LeBron sure as heck won't be playing with any other major FA because they get more hype than little ol Rose.

Wait a minute...
...do u know who's usually called the best ever with Jordan? Oscar Robertson...who only has one ring...another player who never played in NY, nor did he play in a big market.
And if Lebron doesn't want to end up like Oscar who finally won a ring towards the end of his career, then he'll choose wisely...meaning the team that gives him the best chance to win a ring very, very soon.
As I wrote before...Lebron's career #s will dictate how great he is...it'll only take one championship on any team to put him over the top in the discussion of 'best ever'....as long as his individual stats prove it.

How can Derrick Rose be ball dominant when his shooting guard averages 4.5 assist?

Kobe has 4 or 5 rings. He was compared to MJ but only recently does he have the rings to be rightfully compared to him. And how is playing in LA or NY the same as playing in Chicago. Please tell me how thats the same as playing the place that has a MJ statue and is the face of the franchise. Weather he is there or not he will always be that franchise. He could be MJ in NY.

No one is actually put in MJs level.
I can argue than NY is the best team and place.
And not true career numbers put you in the conversation. Rings order you.

This. Why argue LeBron then? To tell us hes not coming here? To tell us the better place is Chicago? All those things sound like they think hes coming or just plain trolling. You decide.

That's just the thing: LeBron didn't say "Cavs-Bulls-Clippers" -- the fact that you think he did is borderline delusional.
Did you catch the part where King said that he's a Wizards fan? So he wasn't pushing Lebron to consider the Clippers over the Knicks. In fact, King said he singled out the Clippers.
KING: How about the Clippers, which would put you in the same city as Kobe, in the same arena as Kobe, with a team with some nice young players?
JAMES: With some really good players. And I think everyone in Clipperland is looking forward to Blade Griffin coming back...
KING: Right.
Me: You need to do your homework. You are not representing your fellow Bulls fans here well.

Uh the same as how when MJ played for Chicago and put them on the map. I'm not here to argue about what "city" is better to win a title in, because wait....LeBron said himself that it's not about the city. So what if there's a MJ statue....LeBron is a MJ fanatic. You don't think that he would embrace that challenge? There's room for another statue if need be. Stop acting as if the Bulls can never have a superstar come play for them because of MJ...that's ignorant. Kobe shouldn't be playing for LA becuase of Magic and Kareem AND trying to deal with MJ comparisons...OH THE PRESSURE
