I agree. He's the most overrated of all the "super stars".

That's what I have been saying. How many superstars in the league would you think twice about acquiring at a steep discount like we are about to for Melo?

Maybe some testosterone for Brooke

He is getting pushed far away from the basket and is also not helping them defend. Really regressive season for Brook.

The Nets can have him. They'd be stupid to trade away Morrow, Favors, Harris, and all those draft picks for him.

i don't think he'll trade anything beyond gallo/ar/pick. i think he's pretty much decided what he'll give up and he won't waver.

No they wouldn't. Them acquiring him has very little to do with anything that happens on the court.

ANY TIME you can grad a top 10 player in his prime, you do it! [end of story]

Fields also has a top 10 adjusted +/-. Anybody can see what he does out on the floor when hes having a good game. Stop looking at volume scoring so much. Basketball is so much more than raw stats. Alot of these advanced stats pick up things guys like Fields and Gallo do, and why I favor them heavily.

Would Melo make us better? I guess a little but it depends how much we give up. Im really not convinced at all still that hes a superstar. Look how much we scored tonight. We need defense and rebounding. Melo is a 44% shooter who cant even hit threes. Whats so great about that again?

It is very debatable whether Melo is top 10 or not.

I still want him though, but only because he will come cheaply.

Not that many centers in the league can fit D'antoni's system though.

That's like that Zach Randolph pass everyone used to play when they tried to argue that he was a playmaker out of the post

I get what you're saying. It's a PR move, but it's stupid. They're gonna regret it. Chauncey Billups is near the end of hi career, Rip Hamilton is washed up. They're gonna have zero depth, and in about 2 years they're gonna have to pay Brook Lopez, cuz he'll be up for an extension, so they won't really have alot of money to add a third star.

If the Nets were smart, they'd sit tight. Get another top 5 pick, then try and do something in 2012.

Why is this so? I read an article on the angle that losing Vince has created more pressure for Brook on the offensive end which is making him use more energy and he can't focus on rebounding as much? I don't ever watch the Nets unless I bet against them and are rooting for the other team, or they are playing the Knicks.

I agree with you, but I also see where they are coming from. The Nets have very little to look forward to as it is. You can't lose when you have nothing to lose. They are desperate.

Brook Lopez was always a bad rebounder
