Knicksgod: THIS IS LIKE 9/11 all over again!!!!! Melo was awful to say that in the first place. But he did clarify but he should still apologize. Glad he said they Lin want to come back and Melo wants him here. Lin and Melo actually play well together. Lin can run the offense and Melo can be the in the clutch. That could bring us a chip boys. Melo is the man in money time. AND IF ANYONE OF YOU SAY ONE MORE BAD THING ABOUT MELO IMA GO OKLAHOMA CITY ON YO ASS!!!!!!!

Even though he was getting thrown softball questions, and undoubtedly had to respond more flatteringly for PR purposes, him endorsing Lin, emphasizing Lin wants to be back in NY, AND name dropping Dolan as someone who wants Lin back are all pretty good signs.

He basically throws the FO under the bus if we don't match. It appears it's their decision.

I can see Melo through CAA or whoever, reaching out to Dolan and imploring him to sign Lin. At this point the backlash will destroy the little bit of likeability Melo has left. The casual (ahem, Lin) fan will see it as Melo ran him out of town, whether true or not.
