If i'm the Knicks and i'm looking to consolidate my picks into 1 realistically attainable prospect it would be Bouknight. He's the type of shot maker this team desperately needs in the halfcourt and that other teams potentially covet in trades.

If they don't move up I would target the 2 Baylor boys. Tre Mann (although I worry with the overlap with Quickley). Moody and Sharife.

Lots of interesting prospects in that mid range area so i'm not too pressed about not being in the back half of the lottery in this draft if we make the playoffs and given the 2 picks and early 2nd rounder we have we should realistically be able to move up near the 10-14 range if we want.

Very interesting offseason coming up. Because of the flexibility we have, the Knicks can go in so many different directions.

Mitchell = DSJ (remember how DSJ looked in college)??

Mitchell can actually shoot and dribble.

So was DSJ no tell em melo

yeah DSJ was a completely different player back then. he was hitting pull up 3's from mad deep in college, hitting step back jumpers, getting to the rim at ease, triple doubles, all of that. never seen a player regress this hard before. at least he's shown some signs of life in detroit as a backup player

I would love for them to get Bouknight but we would have to be at least in the lottery to consolidate picks to move up. Like if we were 14 I could see it being possible.

If Ziare looked half decent I would mock him to us but he’s looked like Cam Reddish out there and we know the Knicks aren’t going to be patient enough for development.

Shooting prospect - “he can’t create!”

Shot creator prospect - “he can’t shoot!”

Rim protection prospect - “he’s not a stretch big!”

Stretch big prospect - “he doesn’t protect the rim!”

Pure PG prospect - “he lacks switchability defensively!”

“She is a 9 but her elbows too pointy, HARD PASS” syndrome

Late...But I am in on the Mitchell train and also like Butler too. The Baylor guys should be good.

If we didn't have Obi, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl would be a nice 2nd round pick. Another Nova guy that is gonna be a solid pro. Great defender, with nice skills. I would bet on him becoming a good 3 point shooter.

The Baylor guys might not be stars but they should be able to come in right away and play. They will be good NBA contributors.

The downside is even then thibs really doesn't trust rookies...I wonder we make those picks for other teams? :dontknow:

Yea, I would be surprised if we use all our picks. It could be good if we could move up for the right guy. The Baylor guys look more ready and like they would fit in with Thibs at least...but even Quickley doesnt have the full trust.

I also don't mind taking multiple shots at players though and fill out the roster. Obi hasn't worked out so far, but Quickley has been a nice find. If we find another player on Quickley's level that would be a great addition. Sometimes you gotta take multiple swings to get a hit...and when you do hit on those picks they are very valuable since Quickley will be on a cheap contract for awhile and under team control.

DX with the ether. Is this your king 2010
Top 100 ranking: 21

No prospect's draft stock took more of a hit over the past two weeks than Moody's.

The 18-year-old Arkansas wing entered the NCAA tournament with considerable momentum. He capped off an SEC Freshman of the Year season by averaging 22.2 points over his final four pre-tournament games, knocking down 43% of his triples and adding value on both ends of the floor.

In four NCAA tournament games, however, Moody averaged only 13 points in 35.8 minutes per game. He shot a woeful 41% from 2 and 3-for-17 from 3 while totaling just 2 assists to 7 turnovers. Moody's defensive intensity wavered, his aggression was sporadic, his shot looked flat, he proved too willing to settle for contested 2s, and his lack of burst, bounce, strength and quickness against teams like Texas Tech and Baylor really limited him on both ends.

On one hand, Moody entered the season projected outside the lottery as more of a floor-spacing wing who can make an open shot and attack a closeout with the wingspan (7-foot-1) to add value defensively. That's the role we saw him play at Montverde. His limitations as a ball handler and shot-creator in more of a featured role are further proof that he's best used as a complementary piece with more dynamic players around him.

But even with that in mind, NBA scouts won't be encouraged by how rattled he looked at times amid his struggles on the brightest stage, even throwing a panic outlet pass out of bounds against Baylor. Too often Arkansas looked crisper with Moody on the bench than on the floor. Despite an impressive statistical season overall, his issues against top-flight teams were a theme all year. Moody beat up on the SEC's bottom half yet had issues scoring efficiently against the conference's elite. In 11 games against teams under .500, Moody averaged 18.4 points on 60.3% from 2 and 43.3% from 3. In 21 games against teams with a winning record, Moody shot just 42% from 2 and 31% from 3 while committing more turnovers than assists.

Unbothered. This is all good news to me. If they were writing how high his stock has risen it’d mean he’d be out of our range. I hope they write more hit pieces on him, tbh.

If we get him in the late teens to twenties you take him and ruuunnnnn!

Perfect wing w/ size to pair with RJ and Randle.
