Lakers offered him 4 yrs $84 million and he turned it down, so that's the starting point.

That was the maximum they were allowed to offer him in season. An offer of good intent, if you like. They will offer him more in the off season and he'll take it.

there was some skepticism whether the entire deal was guaranteed. It would seem like a lot for him to turn down considering that is what FVV. Especially with teams with a lack of cap space seems tough to turn away that money.

under the right contract he would be a good fit here...especially with the way thibs likes to play.
