Not to mention, Mazzulla agrees with you that why he's been fouling Mitch. I like the fact that Thibs gets it all.
I think the Knicks will give game three their all at the garden.

context matters. again, no pun intended.

think of when these minutes happen.

exactly...I trust Thibs completely in this match up. He will get us 2 more wins before Boston gets 4.

i didn't think we looked soft at all. i thought we both looked tough. maybe detroit had a little more on their toughness slider at times, or even overall. but i wouldn't say we were soft. i thought that whole series was a miserable, brutal thing of beauty.

if we were soft, our talent wouldn't have been enough for that 6-game metal bat party and the pistons would be standing here right now. and i love that.

Exactly...we cant be called soft if we won the series in 6 games. I think in the beginning of the series our Knicks were sleeping and Detroit woke up the F up

all,

let’s not backseat moderate. in the future it’ll be helpful to either report and ignore or message a moderator. anything else and you’re kind of putting yourself into and extending the mess.

thanks.

What if the goal is to make the other posters hear footsteps that aren't there?

Reavis didn't always go after the ball, sometimes he just knocked it down.

heard. and that's part of what makes our role as moderators tough. we like the fun and playful ribbing. we have to make judgment calls on when it's more than that. as has been said, this is the forum where we all get to play the fastest and loosest. if likening mods to refs -- overall, we might have the most forgiving whistle. if likening to cops, we do that community policing thing.

don't want people to not be themselves and have some fun. and to be fair/clear, even though you were in the quote, i didn't see your initial callout as backseat moderating. my "all" was more for everyone. but i see how that's not crystal clear.

most importantly, the personal attacks within whatever the convo was supposed to be got out of hand. yet again. which is unfortunate and we as mods will be better.
RIP magnumt

thanks for everything, thibs.

I do believe this Knick team feels their better than Boston and that dunk was a symbol of how they want to communicate their thoughts of Boston to Boston

I don't think we struggled against Detroit- I think Detroit was that good defensively. And I think the same thing is happening to Boston fans and media members that think Boston is struggling against the Knicks when they shouldn't be. Defense rattles a players game. The Knicks are the reason for Boston's struggles. It's not because the great Boston is "missing too many open shots".

yep, we're giving them the business and they don't like it

when he hit the Continental Shelf he became too submerged for satellites to track his progress.

Expert slidologists estimate he has slid most of the way across the Atlantic sea floor and should run into one of the Greek isles in a matter of days

no, i don't think it's disrespect. we're not gloating in the postgames and talking brazy. we respect them. it's more a statement about respecting ourselves.

what i meant was, we wanted to punch them in the mouth. and they saw the energy. it was on them to respond. we saw how they responded.

Detroit series got them ready for Boston, Orlando series made the celtics complacent. When Detroit pushed, we pushed rite back. The difference is when the Knicks are pushing the celtics, there is no response. They are not tough mentally or even physically. If this series was played the way the Pistons series was played, lol.

That part is exactly it, This team was put together to beat boston and ppl laughed because of the reg season. Knicks just..........might be a bad matchup? better? I mean I dont get why its laughed at, the knicks starting 5 is prob the best in the game McBride/Mitch are a good 6-7 with the latter being such an absolute monster on the defensive end that the opposing coach is trying to foul him send him to the line(and miss badly) so we are forced to bench him. People need to wake up, This Knicks team is really good.

Pistons series certainly put us through our paces.

Still gotta stay humble. Celtics are missing a lot of open shots. They win game 3, pressure is back on us.
