Good thing the Knicks set us up with a nice backup plan to rebuild. Nets are f*cked

I still think the Knicks max him out even if he misses all of next year. It’s the knick way

Yeah u don't do it unless you can't get Kawhi

Idk if that's what it means. You have to understand, Perry and Mills have a timeline. They need to show results. Otherwise, they'll get the Hinkie treatment and fired. I wouldn't be surprised if this motivates them to get AD and build a team around him as best as possible. They don't have 8-10 years.

Yeah go ahead trade for ad and watch him walk to the Lakers with nothing left on this team.

If you watch vid of the Kobe Achilles tear, he's able to walk on it too, somewhat gingerly though.

The main difference is that Kobe was clearly not pushing off and compensating with excessive knee and hip bend while keeping his foot flat the whole time. btw when I said excessive, I don't mean like he was bending a crazy amount but it was enough to compensate for the lack of push off

KD had a bit of a push off but that could've just been gravity making it look like he was pushing off.

The fact that KD had very little to no pain is kinda scary though

Its hard to tell too because he's walking off the court but with support. I hope he's alright but I have a bad feeling.

Don't forget that the adrenalin was still running through him from the game and I'm sure it's gonna be much worse like now and definitely tomorrow.

This isn't on knicks if you guys want to blame somebody blame the dumb stupid warriors for rushing durant back, when he wasn't ready.

KD is probably done, look what happened to Kobe after he tore his achilles. Never was the same player.

The smart thing to do is to buy picks by absorbing bad contracts or sign 1 year deals

If only we had a trash player on a massive expiring deal to move, instead of wasting $7m on Noah till 2022.

We have cap. Why do we need an expiring to trade?

For even more trades for even more picks. We're wasting $7m a year in dead money. That's $7m less than we can bring in in bad contracts.

We should be thankful that KD didn't tear his achilles here, after getting a max from us.

I think we will only trade for AD if he signs an extension now.

True, but that's really nothing in the big scheme of things when you have $75M to work with.

Saving grace for him is he is a 7ft sniper out there. Still devastating to see it happen to him, whether he was going to be a Knicks, becomes a Knicks, or not...

He will more than likely have to make changes in his game though, but he has the unique ability to still be incredibly effective I would imagine. You never know with Achilles injuries though

Why would he do that? To win 30 games here?

That’s what I’m saying. Ppl like we cursed . Nah we probably just dodged a bullet. I believe it was partially torn before so it was only a matter of time before it became completely torn/ruptured.

Now imagine he didn’t come back this series. We sign him, then he tear his a Achilles a few months in.. whew!

why? lock in 4 years or lock in 1 year? If he was coming why not come anyway and the knicks will be patient with him and he doesn't have an expiring contract to worry about...
