I don't see how the SIM wont make Luka a top 5-10 player. KAT had an all time great offensive year for a center. Then you add Donovan Mitchell and Zion continuing to develop.

I think we saw a bit of this in the playoffs and should carry into next year.

I could def see that if the Sim adjust ratings. I know Chicago needed a big, but I didn’t think it would come at the cost of Kemba, and Brooklyn seems to really wanna break up the core. Indy had an impressive playoff run, and with any sort of sim bump I could definitely see the danger there.

He still has Kawhi, plus he’s a smart veteran GM, so I think they’ll be ok. Just didn’t see that move coming like you did. I thought there were other options.

he was one big man away from having that battle with you...now he has the chance to sure up the depth he lacked...

this talk is fun and i have no issue with it- its what we do but I think its premature until we atleast see the new ratings...

My core is likely to return next season. I didn’t get a serious offer for Kyrie & only got 1 offer for Oladipo I like, but he’s holding off on the deal as of now.

Let’s just say, I think Toronto’s GM 2010 has the right idea because those of us with bird rights, a high FA destination rating, and a lot of money automatically cancels some of the bigger names. Free agency for most will be a battle for the leftovers. That’s just my take.

And on offense not enough balls to go around. Two players are bound to get Chris Boshed. Effectively making them big name lower usage role players. The team can't average 140 ppg. It doesn't work like that. You still only get the same ballpark of possessions.

not to mention, you have #4- which you could easily trade and make your position even stronger...

I cant wait to see the new ratings...I think the rise of the cavs is another top 5- top 7 story in BAF...

In regards to the Kemba trade...

I knew it would raise some eyebrows, and believe me, it wasnt easy for me and was something I had mulled over for days.

Were there better options? Maybe. But with only $80 in cap space heading into Free Agency and no real tradable assets, a guy like Brook Lopez in Free Agency was kind of my ceiling. And while that would have been a great move for me, I’d also need to replace George Hill, who I’m likely to lose in FA if I used my cap on BroLo, and I’d also need to address the fact that I needed both a starting 2guard and PF.

And is BroLo really the guy taking me over the top? Or a Marc Gasol? Really?

I didn’t trade Kemba to get a big man to bang with Embiid and Towns. I traded Kemba not only because it DID net me a big who can bang/board in the post or because it simply gave me much more flexibility/depth...I traded Kemba because IT AINT JUST EMBIID AND TOWNS I’m stuck matching up with, I also got LUKA DONCIC AND BEN SIMMONS I gotta contain. And quite frankly, Kemba was a liability in those two series and the team played better with George Hill at the 1. Bledsoe/DGreen/Kawhi is the best perimeter defending 1-3 in the entire completion. One of the best defensive teams last year JUST GOT BETTER defensively.

I still have a few tricks up my sleeve. This is a long off-season and it’s even longer til the trade deadline in-season.

Yeah I mean I have a couple ideas of how he could even get more dominant.

But Zion and Richardson are both great low usage players next to Luka/Kat. Donovan might be the only one that doesn't fit the most ideal next to those 2 big dogs...but he could easily stagger those minutes to have spida run the bench unit too.
