Thinking realistically, the mission now is to get to 3 wins before heading back to Boston. Either tomorrow or Monday, we gotta hit on one of these home games despite the struggles at MSG.

I fully expect the whistle to be shady in one of these next two games. Regardless, we get to 3 wins, that breaks them mentally.

However.....! We cannot allow uncontested threes. Clean that up tomorrow and we go up 3-0 because I think Brunson is gonna explode (pause? No! No pause!!!) for one of those superstar games we all know is coming.

Bury them!!!

I wish Hart would go to Thibs and say "bring me off the bench, coach, like Manu Ginobli". Then we could start our best line-up with Mitch next to KAT so they can't easily do a hack-a-Mitch strategy. Hart still gets his 38+ minutes but Mitch gets a slight bump to 25+ as well and we only run a 7-man bench with Deuce as the other sub. I think it would increase our chances...

the starting lineup just hasn't done that well though. -3.7 net rating in the playoffs

the starters and mitch are our 2nd most used lineup and have a net rating off 11.3

i think for now he'll just try to weather the storm of the starters not being perfect together and since we're winning it's ok.

He kind of has to. Also, Thibs has always seemed to have a thing of having bench defenders who he puts in the game situationally and especially trusts more in the 4th quarter.

Besides starters, over the last few years that's been IQ, Grimes, Mitch, Deuce

Kind of needs the secondary/tertiary ballhandling, playoff 3 point shooting, that Hart brings, and is probably saving Mitch for those situations where he helps most. Also, Mitch probably can't effectively play 30 minutes, so Thibs is looking to get that max 22-25 Mitch minutes.

I'm still shocked we're up 2-0 on the defending champs it dont make sense. Josh Hart was the top scorer out of both teams.. crazy

Bring in Mitch a little earlier I would say especially if the starters come out flat. Mitch for Hart would probably make the most sense if we were to change anything. But tough to change much when we are up 2-0 but at same time we have to adjust you what's working best

Team def needs a good C as an option. Last year's team had IHart and Mitch. We could not have kept iHart and Mitch was out most of the year. That was a big loss and the team still finished with a better record. Mitch back adds an element and makes us a much more complete and better team.

I think most of us are shocked because we did not see this Knick team play this way all year. The Piston's beat our team with bats (Harts words)
and activated the team we knew from last year with the Mikal and Towns addition. Now that I'm looking at a different team today. I'm not surprised.
I also think Mitch's stamina is improving game by game. That said - I like our chances against anyone. My only concern now is can we win 10 more games with 7/8 guys playing?
