He might be a snake. Don’t be surprised if he also complained about Rick Brunson being on the coaching staff. Something about him is just so off and I don’t like him either. Not just his game which is soft but I think his personality is shady af

He also brought Nets fans onto the board, so his villainy appears to be boundless.

Dude this feels like the odd man out on this team even with all the villanova knicks nonsense. He give the same vibes like Donte did (not saying he is a player than Donte or anything).

So, basically they are checking the stats for MPG and # of players in the rotation any given night

Thibs would lose to Osama Bin Laden and Hitler on this board. :nonono:

In fairness, both of those guys more stubborn than Thibs.

I mean, Hilter shouldn't have gotten into a two front war but he wouldn't listen to his assistant generals.

Bid Laden couldn't resist going all in.

Plus fans would hate them eventually then, too, because Hitler played his guys too many minutes and Bin Laden was stuck in his old ways.

Leon and the FO don't leak anything, and the media is just digging for the scraps that are coming out. Go back to listening to ESPN and those hacks if that's your cup of tea.

I'm going with the real sources like Begley, KFTV and those who have their feet dug in the Knicks foundation from day 1 of the Rose era.

This is a process and I expect it to go for at least a month in their search. I'm not listening to the hacks and neither should any of you.

Hahn also just said that, shockingly, this was building up for the last 3 years starting with when Tom refused to play Fournier and it wasn't Dolan just going George Steinbrenner 1987 mode.

Damn. I'm back on Team Thibs.

If Thibs had access to amphetamines like the Third Reich had, Knicks starters would have never sat. All would have averaged 48.5 minutes per game.

I know. I'm just dismissive of the idea that Mikal has so much leverage he can get a coach fired.

This was a collective decision. Multiple players were out on the guy.

Kris Pursiainen
@krispursiainen
Knicks are going deep for references as they look for their next coach. Sources familiar with the situation tell @ClutchPoints
they’ve spoken with camps of NBA players that played for coaches they like. Includes college coaches that interest them if Jason Kidd doesn’t leave Mavs.

Kris is certainly not closing the door

Leon extracts coaching input from loose mouthed traitor Mikal, drops the hammer on Thibs, then ships Mikal off for another CAA client.

Leon moving more like Michael Corleone in Godfather II than the Don in Godfather I.

I'm on board w/ Johnnie Bryant or even Chris Quinn, assuming they can get a good, experienced coaching staff to support

low-key tho, I'm ok w/ Mike Brown as HC. he's a good coach, I'd also be ok with Bud, I don't hold the Suns mess against him. Malone, too similar to Thibs

The Kidd obsession is a bit much for me. He's a solid coach, but not someone I'd want to give up assets for; he also has a "checkered past"

Only one guy was chief complainer though. And it’s not like they would really care about the opinion of Precious Achiuwa or Deuce McBride. Not enough to fire the coach. The only guy from the core group who openly complained all year was Mikal.

You think they would fire the coach if the main core showed support but a few guys off the bench weren’t happy? That wouldn’t happen

Could you imagine what a tweaking Thibs would be like on the sidelines considering how he already is?

The Knicks reportedly only interviewed the main core players. It's not like Huk, Kolek and Precious got asked how they feel.

It's easy to figure out who they spoke to. Just look at the payroll and MPG.

How do you know this though? Just because Mikal publicly said that the bench needed to play doesn't mean that he was the only not happy behind the scenes.

Allegedly 7 players told the brass that this wasn't working. This isn't just one guy
