I think he will play pg for the team. Who else is going? Look Julian Stone to play there too. Love the big pg's.

The All-Star forward also spoke about his (lockout pending) newest teammate, Iman Shumpert:

“I brought him to a couple of my workouts, that was my first time ever getting a chance to really see what he was about. I didn't really know he was that athletic, I didn't really know he could really play the game like that, I didn't know how smart he was on the basketball court. I figured that out as soon as we got on the court working.”

And would the Georgia Tech product be invited to Melo's future exhibition game in the Big Apple?

“Oh yea! Here in New York? Yea, of course. I mean, he's gotta be. It's only right.”

That sounds like more than the routine lip-service. He really went out of his way with the praise.

Iman spitting some rhymes. I love this kid 's charisma. He's definitely made for New York....and his rapping isn't half bad either. It's actually really good :)

Sound like a young 50. I'm impressed.

Maybe he can revamp the GO-NY song.

Damn I miss basketball.

We did get to see him in that exhibition league in Las Vegas, where played well. Not the same thing, I know.

Devastated, mortified, sickened by it...

It's literally what's pissing me off most about this lockout. Huge Iman fan. My friends make fun of me for hyping him so much. Every time I walk past the Garden I say, "the house that Shumpert built".

Lol...frickin A man!

You are probably the most annoying poster on this board, and that's saying a lot.

Shumpert = best pick. He plays both guard positions and defends and was top athlete and has impressed all summer with work ethic and highlights. He is like a mix of Michael Jordan, Rick Brunson, Scott skiles, Raja Bell, Veshon Leonard, Howard Eisley and Vince Carter.

Agreed. Dude was doing OK until he included the great Rick Brunson. Let's calm down and let the kid play first before assigning such greatness shall we?
