Lets bet, thats not happening.

Well, maybe that happens, but Rockets will be the worst team in the West next year... so who cares?

Plenty of time?

What does it matter if the decision has already been made?

It's called Mike D'Antoni's offense. Look at his career before and after NY.

He was perfectly fine in Charlotte in a Larry Brown offense, not that great, but good, he played really well there, also played hard on defense, being a great defender.

If he can get in shape, he's just 28, of course he can, he is better for this team than Lin, cause he plays better D, he shoots better, he doesn't hold the ball that much, he can coexist with Melo, he can play with Stoudemire...

Oh come on. It's one thing to like Felton, it's another to start making things up. At no point in Charlotte was Felton ever "...a great defender." He didn't fit Larry Brown's defense-centric half court system and was criticized by Brown for being out of shape. He did much better under D'Antoni because D'Antoni allowed him the freedom to run an open, uptempo offense. Great if D'Antoni was still the head coach but Woodson's system is more Brown than D'Antoni on both ends of the floor.

Cool. Did he excel afterwards ? Take that great year and expand on it ? What year of his career is he in ? Is he known for always being in great shape and ready to play ?

Felton has been in the dump for 1.5 straight years.

He consistently averaged 12-14 ppg and 6-7 apg. Felton is not Howard Eisley or Jamison Brewer. He's a solid player and shouldn't get hated on like that. Heck, Lin will likely put up 12-14 and 6-7 type of stats next season.

He was this year.

The only way i wont be mad is if we turn the rockets Lin signing into a sign an trade where we get SG Kavin martin or courtney lee or both the more assets the better but we could use martins 3pt shooting at SG.

Oh. Of course.

I really think Grunwald starts off all of his negotiations like, "We'll give you at least one second round pick along with...," or "Is he pushing 40? Yes? Let's make a deal. How about a second round pick, a non-guaranteed contract, and..."

I hate trading away our picks. 2nd round or not they are still assets. I think Isola also tweeted we got 2 euros that they have the rights to. However, the trade is fluid and won't be completed until tomorrow so who knows what the final trade will look like. I hope they don't trade Shump!

The Knicks got Felton for $3 million/year when a lot of Point Guards in free agency are getting paid more than that. What if the Knicks just saw a good opportunity and took advantage of it? I just don't think Lin is gone until I see it actually being reported.

Felton had a bad season last year, like a lot of players did. He was good in Denver.

Mike Tokito: Really, if deal goes down, it's a Kurt Thomas-for-Jared Jeffries deal for #Blazers -- get a vet C who can mentor Meyers Leonard. now

Frank Isola: I always felt Knicks would match Lin. Of course, Berman of the Post has been reporting it exclusively (bet you won't be seeing that anymore) now

Frank Isola: Look at his this way: Knicks got Lin for nothing and made a lot of money off him. Rockets cut Lin & is now willing to pay Lin $25 million 2 minutes ago

I amazed at the blinders people have about Felton. Look at his career numbers and hus numbers since he left D'Antoni's system. Felton thrived taking tons of shots and with an extremely high usage rate in a point guard friendly system where he always had the ball in our hands.

He is a really solid backup PG... he is a medicore (at best) startinG PG.

Common sense says we don't. But reports are saying we will. Don't know what to believe at this point.

although i agree with you..this is the most unfair post ever made

I completely forgot about Felton's random unpressured spin moves behind the 3-point arc.

I wonder how Kidd feels like now. Instead of teaching Lin a thing or two, he will back up fatton.

Worst case Dolan could if Lin went sour would be to waive him in year two and spread his salary to three seasons.
