That's what I wanted them to do. Derrick Rose was fine cause he was a 1 and done contract. The others, saving space was what I wanted. Stupid Phil thinks he can zen his way to victory. It's not that easy.

If memory serves, a whole lot of people. A bunch of posters here. Most people were excited about the additions. I'll admit, I was even curious. I thought a few additions could push us to a first round playoff exit and it might even be fun to watch, but I always thought (like you) that the smarter play was to ride the tank one more year.

But I remember a lot of discussion and well over half the posts were to the contrary. "No you have to build a winner to get people to come here", "wining takes time". Yada yada yada.

People who put the blame on Melo wouldn't know a damn thing about running even a successful JV team....let alone an NBA team. These neophytes are from a distant galaxy when comes to understanding successful basketball.

You can't blame people for their pessimistic view of where this season is headed. We have seen this show far too many times to hold on the hope that our dreams of a decent Knick Team blossoming into fruition, even if we have a Rose in hand. We are a lot like the jilted girlfriend who is cheated on by her husband and keeps taking him back, because we think the abuse is love.
