Re: Draft Thread 2: The Electric Draftaloo
The knee procedure is very minor and the Grizzlies knew it was going to happen. This is not something that just happened suddenly nor considered risky.
Of course the Grizzlies could have been throwing shade all along and was always intending to draft Barrett but why?
I don't think this is anything more than just the media looking for anything to draw clicks.

I think Grizz may be trying to pretend to like RJ so they could try to squeeze an asset out of us to trade down 2 to 3 so they get Ja and an additional asset. Don't fall for it, Perry.

A lot of people think Morant is the clear number 2. I think ultimately he goes to Memphis, which makes sense, and we take RJ, which makes sense.

Re: Draft Thread 2: The Electric Draftaloo
I get why they would do that since Garland will most likely be gone by their pick but who can they trade for? Jrue? Conley?

It’s like when lil bitches make subliminal records, if it ain’t directed directly at me, I don’t respect it

Maybe we could sign and trade Mudlay to the Suns for the pick

Re: Draft Thread 2: The Electric Draftaloo
Dear KNICKS Fans,
BE WARNED! Over the next 3 weeks, we are going to hear all sorts of rumors involving us and multiple other teams. Don't react to every little tidbit you hear. Remember, most of it will be BS, or clickbait, or teams attempting to float bad intel in order to affect certain outcomes. However, some of what we hear will be TRUE -- because our front office will have information none of us are privy to and they will be making moves based on the BIG picture and not just what us fans like or think we know.
So, just a friendly reminder NOT to overreact to every single thing you hear.
Also, it might be wise not to get too attached to RJ. If KD and another max are coming as expected, the FO will probably value RJ as more of an asset capable of landing a seasoned vet instead of as a talented rookie who has a bright future.
OK -- As you were...

Re: Draft Thread 2: The Electric Draftaloo
Memphis will take ja morant. They trust Jerry West and Jerry West is on record saying that ja morant is the best player in the draft. I will take RJ, garland, culver, or harchigonzagarui in a trade down for the right price. But it looks pretty clear that RJ has one of the highest if not the highest ceilings of all the other players coming in. We should be happy to have the opportunity to get a professional blue collared work horse of a player. People sleeping on his it factor.

We traded Tim hardaway twice for useful pieces when we thought he was worth nothing. There is Hope my brother.

MCD for Nurkic Harris
Chriss for Bogdan Skal Pap
Fultz for Tatum 2019 #14
That’s just in the last 5 drafts
It can work.
