To me the best possible move would be to see which teams are desperate for cap relief and try and squeeze out as many 1st round draft picks for next year from them. I know people want to go after stars but I don’t think we can sell the farm only to have the cupboard bare. (Unless they are a top 5 player of course). Besides, this upcoming draft is insane with talent. With the hiring of Perrin, Kline, and even Payne who is said to have an eye for talent, we actually have the best shot we’ve had to hit on our picks instead of relying on dumb luck. Even the person we just hired to head our analytics(MacLean) can possibly help us out since the company he comes from have been successful in using analytics to correctly forecast the success of DE entering the NFL. I can definitely see him bringing that to the table and fleshing out something similar but for the NBA. I’ll see if I can find the article for MacLean which states what he used to do before coming to the Knicks.

I hope we have tampered with Jerami Grant, because one the playoffs start, he'll be in high demand. I've been repeating this for months: He's the guy to go after.

... isn't unrealistic, doesn't include any draft picks yet, enables us to still trade up/down in the draft and out of Randle's contract while adding, toughness, shooting, savvy and scoring. This is a playoff team potentially including great assets and a good bench.

You aren't alone on him. There's a few of us (Including me) that think he'd be a really nice fit next to Mitch. I'm a Syracuse guy so i was dying when he just kept falling and falling in the draft and almost fell out of the 30's (Drafted #39) and was hoping we'd go up and get him.

Too add to that was just thinking. Everyone says, "No way New Orleans lets him go." But I think there is no way New Orleans wants to go through another AD situation. With a very public trade request and negotiations. I think they would trade him swiftly, quickly and quietly if he let them know he's not planning on staying long term.

In the end the Pels will have more of a say on if Ingram ends up back with them or with another team though cause they cam match any offer he signs with another team.

Is Maxey a PG though? Seems to be more of a SG to me but that's just my opinion and maybe he could play PG full time.
