also, they know we don't have much to offer.

We have no real trade-able picks. The only picks we have is the protected Wizards pick which will likely be a two second round picks (2026 and 2027), and whatever pick swaps we have left to offer

so unless we are trading Jalen Brunson, what could the Knicks possibly have that is better than teams like the Spurs?

There is a version of a trade where the Knicks take back Kuzma and porter JR with Giannis and they then send KAT, Mitch, McBride, Dadiet, Huk, and Kolek. I’m the end the Bucks have 24 million in cap space.

So basically KAT, the Knicks 6 and 7th man who can be traded for picks easy cause they have good deals, all the Knicks youth, and we get them under the cap. The Knicks don’t give the bucks picks. We give them two guys who can be flipped for picks and take Kuzma contract and they still have KAT.

Meanwhile the Knicks have (assuming Giannis is the new Center)

Some combo between OG, Mikal, Hart, Mitch, Deuce, and picks/swaps can be used to either trade to the Bucks, or get 3rd/4th teams involved to flip more picks to the Bucks.

Id like to keep OG if possible, but if hes the holdup he can go trip all over the court somewhere else. Mikal is a p*ssy. Hart, Mitch, and Deuce are very good bench players but not married to any of em.

Giannis, Brunson, and KAT would be legit as hell. We should still have some solid players left after, and can fill out the rest with a couple smart pickups. Thibs was allergic to our bench, and there is talent sitting on other team’s benches too. I get the concerns about gutting the team, but I’d trust Leon.

7 First round picks and 2 1st round picks swaps, 2 2nd round picks. Milwaukee gets their picks back from the Pelicans which is a huge component while they tank.

But to YOUR point, adding Giannis to what we already have, assuming we can convince some guys to take team-friendly deals to be the rotation, it would be pretty stacked.

The Pelicans own the first-round picks from the Milwaukee Bucks in both 2027 and 2026, along with the right to swap picks in those years, according to Sports Illustrated and Pelicans Debrief. This is part of the 2020 Holiday trade. Additionally, they have a second-round pick from Utah in 2026, but it is top-55 protected.

Milwaukee getting back these first two picks would be huge in a 3 or 4 team deal.....
