It gives everyone time off to get their body healthy. Gives the writers a better chance to write better storylines and think in advance, Instead of constantly writing on a week to week basis. Also, it gives us a chance to miss wrestlers. Example: I was getting a little tired of Daniel Bryan and the Yes chant. Thought it was getting played out. Now that hes been gone for a while, I actually miss it and cant wait to see him return.

Also, Raw needs to be cut back to 2 hours. Wrestlers like Bray, Roman, Dean should ideally be in the IC title hunt. They were going in the right direction with Daniel Bryan holding the belt until he got injured. Cena has done a fantastic job with the U.S title belt. Since they need to fill 3 hrs worth of crap, they never have the wrestlers that I mentioned before in the IC title hunt because they are over enough with the crowd that they dont need it. Instead they give low mid carders the opportunity to win the IC title, and it waters down the belt. They try to make wrestlers relevant by chasing or winning the IC title belt. But it should be the other way around like Cena is doing. Bray holding the IC title belt would be fun to watch and would instantly make the title relevant again. If Raw was 2 hrs, they time filling would likely stop and we would see the big names going after the mid card belts again.

Just a couple things I would change about Raw. And im much more of a casual fan than hardcore.

Also think the hardcore internet wrestling community need to calm down a bit. Never seen a passionate fanbase notoriously unhappy or complain about this or that. Love the enthusiasm, but damn.

U a Knick fan, u should be use to it with our fan base lol.

I gave up on there ever being a offseason, not with Vince still in charge. I would cut down on some house shows, and maybe do a split roster like they did before, with certain wrestlers working the majority on raw, and other wrestlers working the majority on smack down. The top wrestlers now a days (except Cena) has to work both shows, and it adds up the wear and tear, and that isn't good when u use your top drawing wrestlers all the time.

The biggest problem with wwe right now is that they have terrible writers, and the story lines are not engaging or captivating. They have their moments though, but it isn't must see tv every week like it was back in the day. Vince needs to retire, and let Triple h take over. I don't know if he will be better, he could actually be worst, but Im ready for a fresh mind to take over the product and see something different. Cause honestly if Cena winning the title for the 16th time (which could happen at summerslam) doesn't scream stale, then I don't know what could.

Haha yea, I should be. Ive always viewed Raw as a tv show. No different than Breaking Bad, or Seinfeld or whatever. But ive come to the realization that the hardcore fanbase views it more as a sports team. Through thick and thin they will watch week after week, no matter how bad the product is to them. I respect that, but I think its a bit unhealthy.

Yea, there are wwe fan boys. I do post on a wrestling forum from time to time, and it's not all that different than it is here. Fan boys will defend the wwe to the death, and they take any criticism like we punched their mom or something. Then there are the negative people that will complained about anything, and never be happy.

I keep up with the product, and I do watch raw almost every week, even if it sucks balls. I guess it could be unhealthy watching something you think is bad every week, but hey I still watch the Knicks for all these years and never stopped when they suck, so what does that say about the majority of the posters here on this forum lol. I guess I'm more on the sports team mindset like u said. I know it's fake, but I enjoy the product for what it is, and probably will be a wrestling fan for life, cause I grew up on it and I will always hope it gets better, kinda like with the Knicks.

Just listened to a very entertaining New Day interview on the Chris Jericho podcast. They talked about how the gimmick came about.

New Day are my fav thing in WWE. I wish they had weekly promo time and more singles competitions. I'd love to see them become the top stable in the company, holding the tag champs and the IC championship. All three are so entertaining. It's funny, the original gimmick was so bad, but they turned it into gold.

I think the best time for an offseason is right after SummerSlam and take September/October off.
I mean, think about it, the NFL season is about to start and WWE's superstars could use the time to "rejuvenate". (Clyde's word)
Come back in the November and that's enough time to build Survivor Series.
Bang! I'm a genius.

was randy orton hurt or drunk on raw? botched move with Rollins, they had to redo. Then comes in late to end Sheamus' cash in attempt. It seemed like Sheamus was telling the ref he wanted to cash in for an eternity and the ref was pushing back the briefcase to stall until Orton bothered to come back in

i agree with you Heat3, it was awkward on both accounts, but Raw was pretty good compared to past ones.

Glad to see my girl Sasha Banks getting pops. This woman has it all - wrestling, gimmick, looks, theme song.

It's amazing how convincing she is in such an over-the-top role. And she can really wrestle. She isn't the prettiest or the most athletic, but she's got "it".

Excited for Summerslam.

But I'm ready for Trips and Steph to take over. I read that Kevin Dunn, I think one of the top producers on staff with wwe, and a long term partner that Vince Mcmahon trusts, has been trying to bring down Kevin Owens, and focusing on his weight, and making fat jokes. What stupidity, for trying to derail a wrestler who has great in ring talent, and had a high t-shirt sales recently. He gets great crowd reactions, and also put on great matches with their main top guy for years ,yet you wanna hurt his career, which in turn hurts your company as you need future stars. Trips and Steph aren't fans of Dunn, and the sooner they are in charge, the sooner that idiot is gone.

This girl right here will probably be the longest reigning divas champion.

Why? Because Vince is all butthurt from CM Punk, and wants his wife AJ Lee (who holds the record of longest reigning champion) erased from the record books. Sometimes I hate this company.

Yeah, Nikki Bella makes me sick. My wife & I literally count her botches every match. Sad. It's so stupid. Don't know why they forced it. Should've waited for a real women wrestler to come & break it. Having her lose all of these matches since the NXT girls got called up but letting her keep the title is week. They should've put a stipulation in the match for Summerslam where whoever pins Nikki Bella becomes champ until there's 1 person. Foolish how they think we don't realize she's maintaining the title without even defending it these days.

I hope the Divas title is soon gone & they bring the Women's title back. Then let the Divas title become a tag title for that division or something. Let your unseasoned & "total divas" go for the tag belts while the real women fighters go for the main solo belt.

Freaking retire Vince, and let Trips and Steph take over.

Got tix late but so glad I did! Best WWE event I've ever attended! Sasha Banks and Bailey stole the show. The has to be a top 5 match of all-time. Finn Balor's entrance is sick in person and I couldn't take my eyes off Alexa Bliss' booty.

I'm so blah about tonight. Not a single match intrigues me and the damn thing is 4 hours long which is way too much. Amazing Vince can put on a 4 hour event and 4 hours of programming a week and still can't tell stories or build drama.

Return to New York Knicks
