People can hate on RJ for being selfish and not that skilled or being a prime prospect out of HS (like that's his fault), but he plays like a man at least. I like his personality. Confident and mature. He's not getting into weird zones like his former bully baller teammate.

From the Raptors thread:

He’s made bad choices tonight in the 2nd half

RJ is a mixed bag, i'd probably give him a B- for his debut. His issue today wasn't efficiency but TOs which is odd since he's not a high TO guy though he's no Barnes in this respect.

He's easily better than GTJ though whom we were starting earlier for no better options.

IQ is a A- (cooled off, but showed what he could do)

From the mod seat, watching the same arguments break out on a different board is so glorious. Soon I'll make a proclamation that RJ discussions can only occur in this thread unless we're playing them. OmG I'm so happy!!!!

First game and he was in foul troubles, refs calling a lot of BS on him. He'll be better.

He's never really been good at running the offense and looking for his shot. He usually can only do one or the other

Raptors help the Knicks in the standings...still way too early for that type of thing but every loss adds up at the end of the season.

RJ was efficient and came up clutch in the end, but made some of the same bad decisions. I still give him some rope because he’s still so young.

IQ was solid on both ends despite missing a few easy ones. Got in foul trouble early, otherwise I like what I saw from him.

Raptors overall looks better.

Good for the kids. But probably my last time watching this much Raptors basketball
