TO NYK: Melo, Billups, Harrington, Telfair

Do you really think Minnesota is going to give up their 1st rounder this year with no protection? Doubt it, they have the 3rd worst record in the league right now. Doubtful in my opinion unless Kahn really is that dumb.

If the draft really is as week as people project it to be, I would not be surprised if they would do this trade...one thing stands in the way though - this year's pick is top 10 protected to LAC and next year's has no protection. I'm not sure I would do that trade.

I was referring to one of their protected picks. From Minnesota but not their own pick.

"I was thinking it was something that I would take a real hard look at ... and make my decision." Though Anthony has always said he was keeping his options open, he hadn't talked publicly about possibly signing until today. "As the days go on, that's something that I think about, that nothing might happen, that I'll be here, whether I have to deal with the free-agency market or re-sign the extension here with the Nuggets," he said. Asked specifically to clarify if he might sign the extension if not traded, Anthony said, "Yeah."

"I'd have to really know and understand what the future holds," Anthony said. "I'm hearing things about what direction they want to go in; they want to get younger and things like that. Though I'm 26, this is my eighth season. I'm not getting younger as far as the years go. Before you know it, I'll be in my 10th, 11th season already. That's something that I really got to take a look at."

Carmelo gave the political answer... now the media has jumped on this as if there is a realistic shot
he is going to resign there.

Honestly though, his quote surprises me. He talked in a bit of detail about Denver's future. That is not just some "I'll take a hard look" and then nothing else, which would be the political blow-off kind of answer. He is giving his conditions on staying, which indicates to me that he is actually open to it.

Maybe he IS really worried about that extension.

I read it differently. Remember one thing that's been consistently reported is that Melo doesn't want to look like the bad guy. I see these words more as Melo establishing his reasons for leaving. He feels the team is too young to compete and he doesn't feel like the management in Denver can do it. When he leaves this is a quote that will get some play to paint Melo as the victim rather than the other way around. -Jitpal

If I may advise on hygeine, I would have to say if you've waited this long for a trim to the point of producing flossable strands, then perhaps it is time to consider braids down there. It could be strangely hip in a Hasidic kind of way.

I don't think I have the patience or know how to braid my own ass hair. Definitely don't know anyone who'd be willing to do it...even for a good price. As far as the questionable length, they're somewhat curly so they appear shorter than they actually are. I think if you cut them at the base and then stretched them out, you can probably floss at least a few teeth before you'd need a new strand. Am I the only one who can vouch for this?

I think Jitpal just lost their lunch.

No, I cannot verify the length of your short hairs for you. Perhaps the only one who can is that friendly squirrel you befriended in the park by burying acorns in your pockets and making them hunt for them. Other than that, I've got nothing I tell ya.

Until someone gives Denver a better Melo rental offer than Walsh should sit back and do nothing. Bynum is not a better offer than Chandler, Brewer, 1st round pick and 20+ million in savings.

Hate em or love him, he knows MUCH more than you do.

Nah, Incarcerated Bob doesn't know anything more than anybody. He read that Melo might re-sign with the Nuggets and so he immediately Tweets some phony "explanation" for this new information out of his ass.

Not that it is even worth discussing Bob but it's clear that he piggybacks on information that was just reported and claims "BREAKING NEWS" that sort of and kind of is consistent with the story that others are reporting.

Melo: "I may sign with Denver."

Bob: "Melo is getting fed up with the Knicks."

It's bullcrap. You don't have to be a genius to see the pattern.

And now I just wasted 4 minutes of my life and your lives.

I got some info and it could have to do with Turiaf not playing (In fact D'Antoni just said he won't play until after the All-star break). Denver is looking for more than just the package that was offered by the knicks which includes Chandler, Curry and Randolph and the knicks are looking at OKC as a potential 4th team in this deal where Turiaf and 1st round pick go to OKC and then the Thunder ship Jeff Green to Denver. That's all that I got right now.

I just figured out how to solve our nation's need for sustainable energy.

We will hook up a hamster wheel to trade rumor threads and plug it into a generator. You could could power the state of Georgia on this thread alone.

Who says rumor mongering, random teeth gnashing and pointless worrying has no value?

I am starting to get tired of how much our young guys get disrespected around the league and in the National Media. Today I am watching First Take and Skip Bayless and John Ireland (ESPN Radio LA) are on calling the Knicks "idiots" for not giving up more than they are at this moment in time and act as if Wilson Chandler is a bum (Ireland made a comment to the effect of "I could get Doug Gottleib and a few guys at Venice Beach who would be a comprable package to what the Knicks are offering"). I know Bynum is huge but is he really that much better than Chandler? His numbers have went down each of the last 2 seasons and he's breaks easily. I don't see how Bynum for Anthony straight up is better than Chandler, Brewer, 1st round pick. Chandler would arguably be Denver's second best player if he went there.

Source? Is this ACTUALLY legit or is another "feeling" like the person who just got banned had?

@KG, you're giving bob too much credit...he "breaks" stories 2+ hours after they are reported.

Denver gets 2 good players in Chandler and Green and also financial relief, they should bite on it if the talks move on.

he said chandler.

strange thing is jeff green's contract is almost up too, so that would be two players they would need to pay soon. talent wise thats not a bad package for denver though.

Really? Why would OKC do that unless they are REALLY fed up with Jeff Green. That would make them a significantl worse in my eyes. Not sure if I buy that one.
