Who cares about those players? You're really worried about Wilson Chandler, Anthony Randolph and Ronny Turiaf? Let em go. The MLE might not even be here in a few months.

I'll take my chances.

I want us to build a CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM.

I'm a huge Chandler fan, but the guy i'm seeing out there the last month has been a different person.... Ever since Gallo came back from the injury, and he started seeing the ball less and sort of taking a back seat (after going off while Gallo was out) - he's been different... then he took another step down once he started struggling and not twittering etc etc..... he ended up what 5-10 tonight, but in that first half he looked like he was trying to mess stuff up.... every shot, off. every pass fumbled, every drive charge... just seemed like he couldn't do anything right...... to see him fall so far from where he was at the beginning of the year, when the Donnie article came out about keeping him - tough to see.

So you're willing to give up EVERYTHING for Melo? Cause that looks like what it would take. Not doing that.

Yeah what does this mean? I don't think wanting to hold onto Gallo or Chandler or anyone for that matter rather than get Melo right now is someone who wants to build a championship team.... just because it involves holding onto players doesn't equate to 'building' .. People are always saying 'long term' 'building' 'future' ... all that can be found in melo... not anyone we have on our team now unless your name is Stat should be beyond consideration

Donnie needs to up his offer now. No way you do that rumored 5 player deal or w/e but he needs to up it to 2/3 and im assuming he didnt yet because we havent heard anything up one.

People who are saying we have all the leverage and wait last minute? Partially true but there are always what ifs.

What if Denver just holds onto him ? Then you hope he signs here in the summer.

What if Donnie stays firm to the orignally AR, Chandler, Curry offer and a rental teams comes out of no where and puts together something better than that garbage offer?

In conclusion...there are always what ifs and we of all people, us Knicks fans should know this.

Get him now.

Calm down, nothing has changed. No one was against giving up 2 of the 3, which is still the cost. You need to wait until the deadline otherwise Denver is just going to ask for more. It'll get done. If you want to get on Donnie or D'Antoni on Feb. 25th for not getting it done, fine. Until Feb 24th, you have to be patient, it'll get done. -Jitpal

No. Donnie set up the cap to potentially get TWO more max players with Amare, as he stated last summer, hinting at Melo in 2011, and CP3 in 2012. You don't trade for melo if you have to digest Harrington's albatross contract and lose any shot at CP3, Howard, or Deron Williams in 2012.

The one main difference I noticed about his game is that he went back to being primarily a shooter.

Last year when Chandler was struggling he was settling for mainly 3 pointers. This year at the beginning of the year he was attacking the basket and having successful games. He has went back to being primarily a shooter and he started to struggle again. I think that that is the noticeable difference compared to when he struggles and when he's successful.

What do you mean by "everyone"? The same players who have helped this team to a .500 record? Those great players?

You people act as if we would trade them like 5 players and just get Melo in return. Im sure we would get others.

I don't recall Donnie ever hinting at Melo last summer, I think this whole situation has been a pleasant surprise.... but that is true... Taking back Harrington, or anyone that would eliminate the possibility of adding a third would obviously be something you'd have to think long and hard about...... that is different from not wanting to part with people though... having a staunch stance on taking salary back I could see.. though I wouldn't mind taking JR or something.

No, I'm asking hypothetically. They ask for Gallo, Chandler, AR, Mozgov and Fields. Yes?

You talk to Melo thru Amare and you say hey listen Denver doesnt like any of our players so they want them all hoping that one turns out to be a decent player. Are you willing to ride it out and sign with us as a F.A. If he says yes you call up denver and tell them to suck your cack. He he says he wants to be a knick now, otherwise he is gonna entertain other options you tell them to take what they want and we get CP3 in 2012 and fill in the pieces after that which shouldnt be too difficult.

Why couldn't you just do that now and save your players?

We can't get Paul if Melo extends here. 22 million kills the next max player.

Return to New York Knicks
