Jared Sullinger and Kawhi Leonard already pulled out of the draft and it looks like Harrison Barnes will pull out of the draft too. I wonder if the Morris twins will pull out of the draft. If Kentucky wins I definitely see Brandon Knight and Terrance Jones declaring for the draft.

Now of course that is never a good thing but it is a bigger deal for the lottery teams who need to come out of the draft with a stud to take a step forward. We can be happy with a strong role player/borderline starter in the mold of a Landry Fields because we are set when it comes to lead type players. Again, of course I would like to see a real impact player dropping but a well rounded good player will be ok...

I believe the Morris twins will stay. Kansas has no frontcourt players coming in, those two are really really close, do everything together and they already said that it would be weird for them to go to different teams in the NBA. They might want to seize their whole college time together and enjoy all four years.
Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things. And no good thing ever dies...

I don't think Thompson is big enough to play as a center.

Jordan williams of Maryland just put his name in

http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/sports/ ... agent.html

If he ends up staying he might be a big we want to target. He is strong and he rebounds. I know they weren't great but he was still Maryland's number 1 offensive option this year

For bigs in our range, I am a fan of Thompson as well as the Morris twins.

Some point guards to look at who put their names in the draft are Malcolm Lee and Darius Morris. Both big PG's who could run the offense and guard SG's.

I know we don't need a SG but Klay Thompson is an interesting prospect. Reminds me a bit of Kevin Martin. He will be playing tonight at 7pm on espn2.

Heres a question... who do you like better for the Knicks out of the Morris twins?

I go Markieff. Supposedly a little bigger and from watching him plays with a little more grit, more like a big man.

I prefer Marcus because he looks more fluent on offense and more comfortable with the ball in his hands. Both has solid size, Markieff is the better rebounder though for sure. I wouldn't be mad with either one of them, both are solid players for sure.

Marcus is the all around better player.

I think no matter who falls, withdraws, declares etc the Knicks are in a good position to come away with something that can contribute immediately. Between the Morris brothers, Faried, Thompkins, Thompson etc we will have someone there for us.

I also hope a few freshmen make the mistake of leaving early, Selby and Patric Young for the most part in particular.

We all know about Knight, Kemba and Jimmer. In my eyes we can't do no wrong with this draft pick.

Hell, we didn't even get into foreign madness yet either.

Exactly, I feel like this draft is deep with role player types. we dont need to take risks looking for big stars. Guys like Dajuan Blair, Luke hagardy, guys like DeAndre Jordan. These are the types of guys that will be available when we pick. We can get someone that can really help our team.

just some guys i like (not necessarily at ~18 or whatever our pick is projected at but in general outside the lotto):

-malcolm lee
-kyle singler
^^^ I honestly have these 2 as first rounders though most mocks dont
-i am pro-jimmer fwiw.. who knows where he goes though i dont think lotto is out of question
-brad wanamaker (only in the 2nd round though)
-nolan smith (not sure at our pick though)

I have kyrie going 1st still, williams 2nd, and my 3-4 is between barnes and perry jones.. obviously cant comment on the euros on these mocks.. also have kemba and knight both going lotto, prolly top 10

Which is exactly why Ive always said that I liked this draft. Far to often people just look at the lotto talent and decide whether its a good draft or not. There are just so many guys that if we took I wouldn't be mad at at all. I honestly hope that we can pick up another pick because we do need players that can contribute immediately.

Yea, I never understood why people said this draft is weak. Just because Irving is the only potential superstar in the draft doesn't mean it is a weak draft. The one thing I will say is I don't see a large talent level between someone you can pick at 10 and someone you can get with our pick or even a later pick. I see these mock drafts, and if everyone declares that should then we will definitely be able to get a solid rotation player, whether it be a combo guard, point guard, or big.

David Thorpe really likes Honeycutt --- calls him a beautiful shooter and beautiful passer --- I like the Kevin Martin comparison someone made earlier.

Regarding the Morris twins --- like them both but prefer Marcus who I view as a better version of Wilson Chandler. Morris has better handle, better mid-range and post game -- as well as better motor than Wilson. Also like Markief but he is more a 4 --- Marcus will play SF in NBA.

Anyone know anything about Reggie Jackson (PG) from BC?

He he declared and is a rising PG that may surpass Jimmer in scouts eyes....mid first round. Supposedly freakish athlete with long limbs for PG position.

Yes, Reggie Jackson is interesting. He may be the next best PG prospect after Kyrie, Jimmer, Kemba, and Knight are off the board. Seems to be going unnoticed since all the others have a lot of hype around them. It's a weak PG draft so he may slip to be a late first round pick.

He is an impressive athlete who has good physical tools, but he is still more of a combo guard. He has improved his shooting which is always good.

Wouldnt have a problem with that at all. I also like Reggie Jackson who just entered. I think his game will translate extremely well to the NBA and he would fill a big need if Billups leaves.

I havent seen Honeycut play, but his numbers seem pretty sh*tty to me. 13 ppg in 35 mpg, 40% shooting, 36% from 3? Whats so great about the dude? Hes also listed as a SF. We need a defender and knock down shooter at SG in the Afflalo mold.

Reggie Jackson sounds ideal though. Not just his name but he would instantly be the 4th best PG in the draft. NBA ready. Athletic. Good scorer. Good size. I like. Hes not a pure PG but I think he would be as good as it gets.

Excellent defender, and a capable 3 point shooter. He is very close to the Afflalo mold. Probably a little more like Tayshaun Prince, which would be just fine.
