You are taking the "friendship" comment out of context. You are also comparing a highly touted prospect point guard to "cap-space" that while-is an important asset in this deal; it's expiring in 16 days...

I was merely implying that DW and Kahn won't waste each others time while they work this deal because of their past relationship. I never suggested that Kahn would bend over for DW...

And the beat marches on...

http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/knicks/w ... wfdsIMHNEI

Rookie guard Andy Rautins and Kelenna Azubuike's expiring contract have been discussed as parts of the Carmelo Anthony three-team package, The Post has learned.

The Knicks have to add more pieces to the reported three-team trade proposal for Anthony to make it work from a talent and financial perspective for the Nuggets, according to NBA sources.

I am seriously out of my element there..... so at the risk of hijacking the thread back to something that might be relevent...

How much leverage do you guys thing that Kahn actually has?

I mean let's say that DW and Ujiri actully come to an agreement and it involves Curry and AR going to Minn and Brewer and Minny's own pick (you know that Denve is going to ask for it) back....

Now, DW comes back to Kahn and says, here's what I need from you to make this happen...

Can/will Kahn try to extort us at that point?

Lucky for us they(worked together) know each other...That removes all the posturing and BS. Therefore, I believe if Khan has better use for the "17 day cap space" he will present it to DW and we may have to include a future pick. If Khan has nothing lined up, maybe we take back 1 or couple of those small contract in exchange for Azub's contract. I just don't think it will be "give me Fields" or something alone those lines... A Minny poster suggested to me if we throw in either Rautins or Mason that would be enough...

Well Rautins would be the perfect fit for Kahn's MO and his fetish for collecting (bad) PG's... I know Rautins isn't a real PG ... he's a wannabe.... but that makes it just perfect for a trip to Minny.

The tweet analysis made me think of this... The Melo deal will see a lot more Knicks going out than players coming in so when DW talks about fill in the blanks, he must be looking at what roster moves to make to plug the holes from the Melo trade.

Indicates to me that DW definitely believes a deal is going to get done.... or else why would he even mention fill in the blanks within our own team... when we don't have any blanks. Except for the bad shots that Felton takes..LOL

Do we really have nothing better to do then to sit all day and try to analyze what every vague quote means. DW is not going to indicate anything. He doesn't play games with the media trying to figure out if they can find his hidden meaning.

We all just need to relax, take a breath, and wait for this Carmelo thing to go down. I am 95% sure that, like all DW's trades, it will come out of nowhere and we will all be surprised by it. Until then, just relax and stop psychoanalyzing media comments--which are usually well off base anyways.

What I never understood about posters that make comments like these are why do you care? We all do different things that satisfy "different" pleasures. Let us have our fun :D And you do what you do- I mean it may not be my cup of tea but I hope you have fun with it...

Wouldn't it be fitting if the Knicks got Melo in thread #15?

I have been reading these threads for quite a few months so I know that's what we do, and it's fun and all but my point is that you're going to drive yourself crazy trying to psychoanalyze everything. I am just trying to spare you your own sanity LOL.

Speculating is all well and good but it doesn't accomplish anything because we are so far removed that GM's basically toy with the media, there hardly ever is a hidden addendum.

Just a good person trying to help though :D

In theory yes-However, that remains to be scene. And hopefully things remain that way. Again, the good new is they are having advanced discussions about it. And at this point when you have less than 3 wks to make several deals. I think it's safe to say that getting the deal done is very realistic. Time will tell...

I have no doubt of your good intentions... thanks for caring about my psychic health too. Hey, some people watch soap operas on TV, some watch sitcoms...
for me this thread is like an interactive combo of both.... T
I think of it as: My own personal interactive Melodrama sitcom ... I don't even have to pay a monthly fee and I get all this entertainment.
I've had some great belly laughs
oh and I've learned a lot about the game too
I have serious respect for the knowledge of many of the posters ... so thanks again, but actually this is more relaxing entertainment for me than anxiety.
Blessings for all my Knick brothers out there... may the Melodrama bring us all lots of entertaining championships.
