He’s really not that good.
So I wouldn’t move anything of real value for him.

We really need some guards that can create I wish we had Murray from the nugs he’d fit nicely

I’d do that only because of KO’s likely opting out.

Again, why is it Reke can fetch a first round pick but Beas is like this untradable player? I hate being a Knick fan for this. We never have “pieces” but other teams have the same kinda guy and he’s an asset and gets them a pick?

Like come on, somebody reassure me we aren’t seriously considering keeping Beas here for the long haul and that’s why we aren’t hearing his name....

Anybody.....?

This team needs athletic wings. It's very simple why also:

Look at Boston. Tatum is still learning the game and Brown isn't a savvy vet who understands the game either. Not at all. But next to their designated go to scorers these guys get a lot of fast break points, hustle plays, are asked to pass the ball a lot and in the shadow of Kyrie and Horford they develop some go to scoring without too much pressure. Boston is extremely long and that works for them as well.

Now we should emulate some of that and Stanley Johnson has the ability to rebound and run the floor. There are more such players. Just don't expect primary ball handlers to come in at SF. We don't have the assets to get such a talent and we don't necessarily need that, if we trust Frank.

and sometimes players just need the right environment and/or coach to really blossom.

look at whiteside. look at burke so far with the knicks, in a limited role. doesn't hurt to try. we ain't using him, and johnson might provide something.

I hope the Knicks can move some of their youth for vets so we can pick up some extra wins.

So we get rid of Noah and get a 1st round pick? Yea, that seems reasonable. SMH

NOBODY, in this league, would give up a 1st for Noah. We could take deng and clarkson from the lakers... and they would expect us to give up more.

But here you go anyway

Who do you think will be the lucky player to be gifted a contract that will leave the whole NBA scratching their head?

Its definitely Jarret Jack on some "We want him to continue to mentor the youth by playing all their minutes...... Here is 2 years, 10 Million total"

I could def see us overpaying some of our own...KOQ, McDermott, Kanter if he opts out. We may not even have much for anyone else.

Not one of those guys is worth paying one more dime than they are currently making and Kanter should be making less. KOQ will probably get more, but a smart team wouldn't give it to him.

The fact that Knickstape tells us the Knicks are considering keeping and paying KOQ more tells me they aren't a smart team.

Anyway, I don't hate THJr as a player, but when the Knicks gave him 18 million per for 4 years, that's all you needed to know about "the rebuild" and "youth"

And it wasn't a bad move, and there is the chance that they got him on the upswing. I think they did. But it certainly also shows a low tolerance for building through picks and the draft too. I could just be feeling a bit negative today though. :D

Yeah, I didnt like the Hardaway signing either, more so for the direction as you mentioned. The hope is that was before Perry so maybe he has a different idea, but my expectations are low. Not that the Hardaway signing was that bad. We could have done worse. We just need to start making some savvy moves pronto. We have little room for error
