The deadline is the team's media day. No GM wants their star player at media day when they are looking to trade him. That's why you see flurries of trades (big and small) a week before training camp.

But the idea that the Jazz asked for Barrett and Robinson tells you that the club holds some Knick players -- including those two -- in high regard.

SNY reported on Wednesday afternoon that people in touch with the Knicks in the days prior said the club had no interest in trading Barrett in any deal.

Barrett and Robinson makes sense for Utah especially if they can also get multiple picks.

Yes, but Woj never reported that a deal was close. Shams made it seem like the teams were close and were going back and forth.

Woj just said nothing was serious and it was just Utah listening to offers and gauging the Knicks interest.

Woj looked the Nation in the eyes and lied right to there faces and said the nets aren’t trading James harden and even said they haven’t even entertained talks for him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The next day he was traded!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Woj is a puppet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If he’s not reporting on a completed trade he’s useless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You’re right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Screw Woj, we need more Settleman, Robert Randolph, Vin, Trey Rodriguez, Tommy Dee and any other fake Twitter account tweets posted !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Get to it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What we saw in recent years was a record number of players wanting out of their teams to buddy up with another player.

The competitive offers are now coming to a stop. 1-2 years ago, Brooklyn Nets have no issue getting 5 first round picks for a 32 year old Kevin Durant. Now it's looking like they are going to hold onto him because the offers have been weak.

Hold the line, Leon!!

Ironic you say that because Windhorst calls it inflation at the 2:50 mark

F*ck. Basically says trade talk was exploratory, Utah willing to wait, shop DMitch around the league, be patient until Ainge feels he definitively wins the deal.

This doesn't sound like it's ending anytime soon.

Anyone forgiving that Noah stretch are just Pills apologists for whatever reason. There was no reason to stretch him. And the whole "we gotta maintain good relations around the league" was a bs excuse. The dude got paid like crazy and admitted that his time in NY was just a party phase and he didn't take it seriously.

The players union was legit watching the sitch and made it known. Maybe the Knicks could've taken them on and won , but I doubt it

No they weren't. 3 different sour '16s didn't play, Noah wasn't even practicing and was just smoking all day. Where was the player's union with Parsons? John Wall this past year. That's agent bull and if your front office isn't good enough to navigate it (ours wasn't) they should all be fired.

This isn’t getting resolved anytime soon either way, and I’m sitting here thinking we should have just traded up in the draft to get Ivey.

This is why fans are warming up to trading 1st round picks for now. We don't want to risk talking about a 5/1/1 stat line for a decade lmfao

They should finalize a trade by September before training camp.

Guess the reporting/tweets will die down over the next couple of days and we come back to the negotiating table in a couple of months.
