Has Jarrett Allen actually been any good since he left the Nets?

He looks awful out there

We've been known this. IQ is good at PG in spurts but give him the keys and he can't really run a team. He's a 6th man of the year candidate like a Lou Williams, great talent but in a specified role. He just doesn't have the playmaking ability. He has improved a lot since his rookie year though in that regard but it's still not there yet. Then again there's not a lot of PGs available that can run a team and play good defense.

So glad I turned this game on just in time to watch Miami squander a double digit lead :D

“I’m a real big fan of RJ Barrett, but I always thought he would be better at [shooting] guard position,” Perry said in his instant reaction to Saturday’s blockbuster trade on the Hoop Genius podcast. “They’ve been playing him at [small forward], and even some backup [power forward].”

This is why Scott Perry is no longer employed by an NBA team.

Clarkson one of those scorched earth guys who when he’s on has no business making the shots he does and when he’s off he just keeps firing. He’s had 10 games this year with more than 6 three point attempts and he was 1-6, 2-8, 4-9, 2-9, 1-6, 5-10, 4-9, 1-8, 2-8, 4-6.

He’s averaging 5 assists which is good but with 3 turnovers. Gets to the FT a little and hits at 87%. FG% on the whole is terrible.

Brogdon averages 16.5/5.8 on 42% 3PT is another bench option. Certainly the safer choice but doesn’t go nuclear like Clarkson can.

Brogdon would be perfect for us. He does everything IQ does except the elite team defense stuff.

Depends on the asking price between them

Nice breakdown btw

Personally I just think Clarkson has the type of personality and energy the Knicks could use. I admittedly haven’t watched a lot of Brogdon

And then we trade Clarkson + Duece + Grimes + 4 protected 1sts and 3 of our own firsts for Devin Booker this offseason when Durant officially gets fed up and they trade off the team to rebuild.

Hard to come to any conclusions after one game. He frankly probably needs an entire offseason working on an expanded role.

Absolutely my thoughts. RJ was used appropriately, he just doesn’t knock down shots at a sufficient clip. I would expect him to get there sooner than later. Anyway, we’ve given him ample opportunity and the guy has SF written all over him.

Eh, then again, it’s not usually the PGs that run a team that win championships. It’s the PGs that know how to create impact off the ball and play off a 1A star that win. IQ can absolutely do really well as a starter.
