The Giannis talk got me thinking... what if Embiid and Sixers mutually decide to part ways. Is Embiid someone we should even bother with? Thibs and Embiid seems like a recipe for disaster.

I imagine we'd be looking at Randle, Mitch, and picks. And then we'd have to S&T iHart and look for a cheaper back-up big option (via draft?).

Embiid / Precious / Draft Pick
OG / Bogs / MLE Signing
Hart / Burks
DDV / McBride
Brunson / Rokas

Risky!

The Knicks would do it. He's among the top 3 they've been targeting since they got here (with Booker and Giannis)

In that situation, you absolutely have to retain iHart.

Embiid needs a starter level backup.

It sounds like Philly and Embiid are going to give it at least one more year together.... Embiid + Maxey + PG13 (or someone else) plus filler pieces. If they're fully healthy in the playoffs (which is a longshot) they would be a tough out.

They could get PG13 but apparently like Phoenix they wouldn't have money left over to fill out their depth if they did that.

If PG13 is all about getting that max contract, then he should go. But if he is looking at title runs, no way should he sign a long term contract and see Embiid bounce. This is almost like Dame's situation. He agreed to go to Milwaukee thinking Giannis will be there but then if Giannis bounces this offseason, Dame will say WTF did I ask for the trade.

Avdija is playing very well. He can be the main player of the Wizards next season. And his salary is low. They would ask for a star in return.

And lots of picks

Washington is a mess right... they'll likely move Kuzma and then try to move Poole but they'll probably have him be a tank commander for another year or two because no one's trading any value for him.

Maybe they reboot things and send out Avdija (if he's unhappy there) and try to build a defensive identity with Mitch + Coulibaly + Kispert and their incoming slew of draft picks (they have #2 and #26 and we could send them #25 along with Mitch for Avdija). They tank next two seasons and maybe they steal a guy like Cooper Flag to start a real rebuild. The tank will remain "on" in places like Washington and Detroit at least one more season.

1) Deni should be very happy in Washington. He could be the main guy on the team very soon. Excellent spot to improve his numbers and ask for the sky in his next contract.

2) I said Deni is a very good player. But he does not look like a future superstar. The Wizards are not harming his legacy in the NBA.

3) If Deni is unhappy, he should take some antidepressants. Washington does not have any hurry to trade him. He is locked until 2028 in a cheap contract. Deni will not disrupt the Wizards tanking. It is a deal good for both sides. It would take a huge offer to make Washington to sell.

4) Bilau and Kispert are not guys to build around. They look pretty average.

Minnesota has that quality where when things are going good, I dont know how ur supposed to beat them.

I don't think the same about Dallas or Boston when they look good. they have holes.

When Boston hits 3's they are hard to beat. When Dallas defends they are tough to beat. I'm pulling for Minny, mainly because I dont like the other 2 squads.

KAT shriveling like a set of balls in very cold water during the playoffs has me rethinking any trades where the Knicks acquire this disappearing act.

Monitor Giannis and Embiid.... doubtful that either are available. Just run it back with bench upgrades and wait to punce on a superstar later.

There have been some rumblings that Anthony Black may be available. If he is, we should make a hard run. He could get minutes anywhere from 1-4 imo and help with taking the load off Brunson.

I still like the idea of CP3 as a backup PG at the MLE. He could definitely be a 9 pt 5 assist and help limit Brunson’s minutes.

What about Paul George S&T for Randle and Bogs?

I wouldn’t mind it…
