It's not crazy to want to see Judge hit better in the playoffs. It's a little odd when people were trashing him for this postseason though.

Hopefully he continues to hit well and the team picks it up around him. We really need the pitching to step up if we wanna do anything special. Great job by the bullpen finally.

Nah it’s not odd to criticize your best player as the tone is set with him. That’s the burden of being the captain and face of the franchise. It’s odd that fans got so defensive and sensitive about criticizing him though.

I don’t have any agendas though. I am happy he got his big home run last night, and would happily eat crow if he kept it up.

Rodon on the other hand, I don’t trust him at all. He’s too erratic and in a perfect world would be the 4th starter next season, behind Cole, Fried and Cam.

Big up to the bull pen last night. They did their job. Hopefully, we won’t need them much tonight.

If Judge caught the ball with two hands (which they teach in Little League) during the WS last year, he may have a ring already.

It is ridiculous to criticize a guy who is hitting twice his weight with an on base percentage three times his weight and and OPS four times his weight. No matter how you wanna spin it. Dude has been hitting well and people got all sensitive to the truth about that fact.

Overall his career playoff batting avg has been poor. His power numbers are historic but, whatever. THIS postseason the critics are just looking for anything to nitpick.

The starting pitching has been rocked. That's why we're facing elimination. I don't care who's hitting what. You're not going to win giving up 10-13 runs a game. Judge just helped save us from that last night. Tonight the team needs to step up and help the guy. Period.

Eh no...that was game 5, and we were basically coming back from a 3-0 hole at that point. If he caught that ball, chances are, we would have lost. That World Series was a domination from top to bottom, and they really dominated us. Their owner was better, their FO was wayyyyy better, and our manager created a sloppy culture. They basically beat our asses that World Series using players that they acquired by scamming us in trades.

That team unraveled from the moment Nestor Cortes gave up that bomb, but the warning signs were there because we were getting sloppy play that whole postseason and developing a habit of loading the bases with 0 outs and still not scoring 1 run. Judge's drop was pretty bad though.

lol love the lack of context when people bring up the ops, avg, etc stats before last night’s game.

Fans need to stop being so sensitive.

Agreed on other parts though.

This Jays offense reminds me of the '95 Mariners. I just don't see the Yankees outslugging them for 2 more games.

Perspective

On Oct. 8, 1956, Don Larsen of the New York Yankees throws the only perfect game in World Series history. "I was so happy. I felt like crying," he tells reporters after New York's 2-0 win in Game 5 over the Brooklyn Dodgers. The Yankees go on to win the World Series in seven games.
Larsen did not pitch well in Game 2 of the 1956 Series. In the second inning at Ebbets Field, the Dodgers knocked Larsen from the game in their 13-8 win.
Larsen didn't know he would start Game 5 three days later until he found a fresh baseball in one of his cleats in the locker room—that was Yankees manager Casey Stengel's way of telling a pitcher that it was his day to pitch.
Not all his teammates were confident.
"I went up to (third base coach) Frankie (Crosetti), and I said, 'Who's pitching today?'" Yankees' right fielder Hank Bauer recalled in the 2003 documentary, 100 Years of the World Series. "He said 'Larsen.' I said 'Oh, God. Larsen.'"
Over two hours, six minutes and 97 pitches, Larsen retired all 27 batters. On a 1-2 pitch, he struck out Dale Mitchell to end the game and catcher Yogi Berra raced toward Larsen, jumping into his arms. The scene was captured in an iconic image

Grisham not protecting the plate on 3-2, you are hitting in front of Judge you are going to get pitches on 3-2 at the very you need to be a defensive swinger on 3-2. Jays wisely walking Judge as they're not gonna let Judge beat them. Does anyone else in the lineup have a sac.

Now they put Rosario in for the wrong guy. Volpe getting preferential treatment, not hating on him it's on the organization and McMahon gets disrespected.

I never want to see Sleep and Volpe on this team ever again. The two of them can go.

Jazz is talented as hell, but super frustrating. They need a culture reset. This isn’t working.

We had our World Series chance last year and didn’t take advantage of it.

Did the same thing this year. Had a bum at SS the whole time, nobody at 3rd base, choker relief pitcher in Devin Williams…we lost this season in the beginning of the year

It's all Aaron Judge's fault just because it's the cool and trendy thing to say on Twitter.

You know what else is trendy? Fans that have the ability to make passive aggressive comments like that because of agendas.
