Either you see Gabe Vincent plus draft pick for Mitch

Rui Hachimura for Mitch, Deuce, and either Kolek or Dadiet

If you do the first suggestion may as well bury the Knicks. If you do the second trade it would be much better but you would have to fire Thibs along with it. Trading away the only defensive Center and going for a completely different direction and style of play that Thibs can't coach it would make no sense to keep him around.

I see zero reason to trade Mitch

at least not without getting another good defensive center back

outside of the grizzlies, all of the west playoff teams are likely better than us. a healthy mavs squad might even be. ad & kyrie vs kat & brunson. they have good defensive personnel too. could be.

Comes right back down to Thibs vs. Talent. Thibs' system favors ISO ball but this team only has 1 ISO player. Give him 2 ISO players and Thibs is orgasmic. Getting Mikal and KAT while not altering your X's and O's means these new guys are already playing at a disadvantage.

F Nico.

But also, Dallas has lost millions since the Luka trade. Lakers have made millions. And with playoff revenues, maybe even ... billions ...

What’s worse is that Randle and Divo made it out the first round before us while going against a much better team.. should I go there or nah

listen, at the very least people here have to admit that randle has played as well as kat in the playoffs so far. if not they're just lying. add to that we gave up donte and a pick. ok, donte hasn't shot great so far. at least it's another legit rotation player. and it makes it easier to trade someone. kat is making 50 mill a year. are we getting the kind of production we need from him for 50 f*cking mill ? hell no. and that doesn't even begin to talk about his defense. And by his last year he's gonna be making 60. so go anywhere you want

But you also have to consider that the playoffs is geared heavily towards ISO basketball. So we need multiple creators regardless of who the coach is.

This trade is looking worse and worse  At this point you have to hope we can flip KAT for Giannis or KD.

It just blows my mind tho that we are struggling to beat a trash pistons team while Randle was able to get out the first round before us against a team everyone predicted them to lose against. He basically killed every narrative about him in this series

I never hated on Randle and that is why this is so annoying. :nonono: The worst thing he did was get mad at the crowd for booing him and gave them the Thumbs down and he could never do right by the majority here again. :nonono:

This current team better win game six or the media is going to eat them alive even if they win game 7…. Unless they pull off a minor miracle and beat the Celtics.

You know why I always respected Randle? He came to New York when every other "name player" continued to shun the team because they didn't want to deal with the media pressure. And when it wasn't going well, he didn't ask for a trade. He wanted to be in New York. I root for Towns to do well and help the Knicks get over the hump, but I didn't like how that went down for Julius and Donte. If those dudes were still on the roster, I believe the Knicks would be even better (simply because they would have an extra body that this bonehead coach can rely on).

I felt bad for Randle cause I know he was trying his best to come back in the playoffs last year to help us. He always talked about he just wanted to win a chip here. Never asked out. And then we traded him a week after he was doing a bunch of charity work in New York with a bunch of Knicks legends. I didn’t like that at all. It is what it is though.

Hopefully KAT can change the narrative about him. He’s been pretty inconsistent in his first playoffs series with us against an inferior pistons team while Randle has played great every game against a big time team. Need KAT to have a vintage game tonight.

I always been of the mindset there's more than 1 way to skin a cat.

Pacers only have 1 shot creator and he's not really an ISO guy, but their system is built on high tempo with the ISO stuff falling to Siakam. Similarly, Thunder don't really have a secondary ISO guy, but their system involves player and ball movement. Detroit only has 1 ISO guy. ISO ball is something that's typically the last couple of minutes of a game. Not an entire freakin' game ala Thibs. Another coach gets more of these new guys because any coach can see where this team's talents are and it's not a grind it out method.

With that said and with this coach, I prefer JB/Randle. The KAT trade was a wasted move if he isn't truly embracing the 5-and-out concept. It's stubbornness at its highest form.

We all knew Julius had higher ceiling than KAT, its all about his psyche.
