The starters were inconsistent most of the season on both ends of the court.

Plus, WE HAD NO BENCH!!!!!

We had an historic offense going into January. Then teams caught on. Put the C on Hart. That's why they were inconsistent after. Because Thibs never adjusted and refused to try anything new. These are the facts.

Right

Well I say that if Thibs played the bench we would have 7-8 more wins, likely swept Boston, had enough energy to beat Indiana, and had the depth to beat the Thunder.

Thibs got fired, so looks like I'm right and you're wrong.

Cool, so 1 + 1 = Applesauce.

Thibs + fired = you lose

Dolan = idiot = I win.
SELL THE TEAM, JIM!!! :curse:

People acting like our guys were playing 48 minutes a night  By the end of it all we were a) healthier than every other team and, b) matching or out matching the energy of our opponents in the post season, so who gives a sh*t? The minutes pearl clutching was mostly people who never liked Thibs or dumbos who get their information from ESPN graphics. He had his wrinkles for sure, but the minutes stuff was laughably overblown

Wow, the audacity of calling everyone (who is actually right on this issue) dumb, when you’re the one who’s missing the whole picture because of your narrow minded viewpoint. It’s been explained a million times on here throughout the season. Seems you’ve got a lot to learn if you’re still trying to push this narrative…

It doesn't matter what people explained during the season because everything they feared about during the season ended up not being the case by the end of the post season. If you want to get on him about lineups and schemes, I agree. But three of our guys playing .5-1 minute more per game than we like ultimately made no difference and the minutes police were bangin their drums for no reason

The evidence is all there lol, you’re obviously late to the party. Go do your research because it’s obvious you haven’t. You’re the one clutching pearls tho lol… Thibs is gone, and for several reasons… minutes is a major one. Hate to break it to you

Sounds like you're struggling to accept the fact that you wasted hours and hours of your life arguing about og anunoby needing to play 35 minutes per game instead of 36 minutes.. and then we ended the post season fully healthy and playing with the requisite intensity

And then??? they got gassed out, every single game they were sucking wind with 7 to go in the 4th...by a better rested team, a team with more lineup variety and a team less talented.

That less talented team took OKC to 7 games, were OKC also overplaying their guys? Weird that so many of our fans have trouble giving the Pacers any credit for just being a very good, deep team with a great coach

And yes, I think Carlisle out coached Thibs in that series.. but minutes during the regular season being the reason we lost is a major stretch

Jesus, are you daft? No one is saying it's THE reason, it's A reason, one of the reasons and the fact that thibs caused it is reason enough to fire him.

Knicks had the more talented team.

Pacers had the better coach.

Knicks lost.

Thibs got canned.

Knicks hired a better coach.

There's literally no way to know it's even A reason.. it's all supposition, which is why it's silly to get worked up about it.

Did we not dominate the Celtics, a similarly "well rested" team, in nearly every second half just before that? So the regular season minute fatigue magically kicked in right after the Celtics? Crazy timing, yeesh
