Re: Around the NBA 2025-26 - Vol 2... Hard Knock Season
this is one of "careful what you wish for" statements - but there have been so many exciting finishes in so many games this year. so many games have come down to the last 2 minutes or even last possession etc. feels like the knicks games have largely either been one sided wins (cavs game got somewhat close late) and in the 3 losses I think only the bulls game felt close late.
Kind of wishing for some exciting close finishes (in wins ideally) for the knicks. but like i said, prob don't actually want that since it's stressful lol

I think Jokic can average 40 ppg if he decides to. Absolutely unguardable, lets see if the new bulky Wemby version can do something with him in the paint.

Yeh, Cam Johnson is kinda trash atm but the trade with MPJ got them Bruce Brown, THJ and Valanciunas and the Nuggets are legit again.

Neverrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It sucks cause we traded Ajay Mitchell for Oso Ighodaro (who has turned out to be a rotation player for the Suns) and then traded Ighodaro for Kevin McCullar Jr and future picks

well with Nico gone, looking forward to seeing what the Mavericks do with their roster
I think AD gets traded home to Chicago for expirings and picks. Chicago are loaded with expirings to match AD's $54m salary:
Zach Collins ($18m)
Kevin Huerter ($18m)
Coby White ($12.9m)
Ayo Dosunmu ($7.5m)
Jevon Carter ($6.8m)
Dalen Terry ($5.4m)
Bulls can't re-sign all of them, and some guys like Zach Collins and Coby White haven't even played this season while the Bulls have won games without them.
Chicago also has all of their 1st round picks. AD should fetch at least two of them.
AD would finally get to play alongside a Center who could shoot threes on offense like Vucevic, that's all AD has ever wanted, lol

And it gets him out of the West, with Jokic, Wemby. Not that the Mavs were going to the playoffs for years.

I'll have to try and remember that these maneuverings were part of a plan to get under the cap to fit in KAT, where Aller was involved to make that happen, but missing out on Mitchell and George while McCullars, Kolek and Dadiet are all either busts or just not that good kind of sucks.

This new All Star game format is buns. Adam Silver continues to destroy the league. Everything doesn’t have to be a gimmick!

2024 & 2025 Bubble Champions (Repeat)
1: Thompson | Nembhard | Smart
2: White | Wallace | Clark
3: Dort | Sharpe | Rupert
4: Wembanyama | Green | Bol
5: Gobert | Drummond | Mamukelashvili

Cade took 45 shots to score 44 points...he's the whole damn reason why these guys are locked in OT against some tanking Wizards squad
Well in the 4th, he got 3-4 baskets and had a few key defensive possessions in the clutch just like in the 4th vs Sixers yesterday.
Cool. That's not superstar stuff. That's just chucking.
In my defense, I tuned in in the 4th didn't see him take 35-40 shots in the first 3 qs, didn't see the stats, all I knew was Cade took 4-5 shots, missed 1 shot, and had a key steal and a block in the 4th... those clutch plays willed them to the W... and I posted that he was a superstar unaware he took 45 shots ! I agree taking 45 shots in a game isn't what superstars do, but they were down a few key guys (Tobias, Ausar, LeVert, Ivey), and he had to make up for the lost scoring.
Our own JB had a few of those 30-35 shots making only 5-7 shots in the first 3qs of games for the Knicks, then he turned it up in the 4ths... and we wouldn't mind the chucking/ low percentage shooting games, and still happily call him a superstar, why? Because he executes and makes shots or winning plays when it matters that will us to wins.
That's what I saw in Cade in the 2 games vs Sixers and Wizards, he made plays that they needed him to make and willed them to wins.

Based on the math, does this mean...
8 USA players from Eastern Conference

Per Wiretap "Nico Harrison Ranked Jrue Holiday In Same Tier As Nikola Jokic"
Yay Nico!
Dallas ranks 29th in offensive efficiency, barely ahead of the injury-depleted Indiana Pacers. The roster construction featuring multiple non-shooting big men has not addressed the team's offensive struggles despite health improvements.
Yay Nico!

Looking at DET schedule... I'm not scared of them at all. As weak as our schedule has been, we are rolling. They are struggling to beat bad teams some nights and are 1-2 vs good teams. Washington took them to OT and they only won by 2.

I ain't never forgetting 45 FGA. Never. I think is a fine talent. Fine young basketball player. But this is not winning basketball.

Adam Silver really has a weird obsession with gimmicks. This format is so dumb. Just bring back East vs. West. It's what makes sense and is easy for fans to follow.

We beat them 3 times at the Palace. I don't care if they are first or not.
But it will be crucial to have better record than Denver. Because its either them or OKC and if its Jokic and co, we gotta have homecourt advantage. They know how to utilize playing at home. With OKC I don't care much.
