Can we please do the TD sign and trade for him . . . I'll just post some "Rondo goes OFF versus the Knicks!!! Playoffs, 2011" YouTube videos for anyone that gets upset . . .

Im taking Purp. He wants to really be here and he has heart and passion. Obvious choice would be diddy, but im going with my heart on this one. Theres always next season we can get a vet pg. ill go with the younger fan favorite.

But i wouldnt be mad with either two. Crawford i see no point since he isnt a PG.

craw fit a bigger need. much much bigger. so it craw. davis is gunna get min so no worry to use excep on him. purp might want excep and he might get it from us if no one else around. but if craw accept u give it to him no thought. but he wont. so i dunno.

How do you figure? A chucking SG is the last thing we need.

Shawne Williams' agent, Happy Walters, said by phone that Williams will make a decision by Wednesday. Clock is ticking for the #Knicks.

I feel like we're gonna lose this guy because we're playing games with Crawford even though that's clearly a longshot. Hope we don't get left out in the cold with both of them.

:nonono: Grunwald and co. need to stop dicking around with this Crawford dream and get the guy who not only wants to be here, but would GLADLY take the only money available

So the guy who's been crying about the quality of back court/PG that the Knicks have wants them to use the last real money, the exception, on a forward? When that chunk may be the only hope to get anything of quality for the back court he wants them to use it on a back up forward. Which the Knicks have plenty of players in camp who can provide what the guy he wants them to use it on brings.

Some people just bitch for the sake of bitching without even having a coherent reasoning to their bitchfest. Undoubtedly this individual believes they are smarter than the people who have orchestrated a very good off season for the Knicks. Yet contradicts themselves depending on which thread they want to bitch in. LOL!

I'm sorry, but I'm taking Crawford at 2.5 over Shawne.

Problem is, the Knicks has a lot of convincing to do with Crawford. They might be telling him he can start and we would give him the MLE next yr or something. Who knows.

Whatever happens, I think we get some answers tomorrow. Season starts in less than 2 weeks.

Shawne is just better than Crawford. Come on.

They both fill a need.

Just don't see Crawford taking the 2.5, but Shawne wants it, unless someone gave him a better deal.

I can honestly see Crawford or Shawne end up here and the other end up with the Nets.
Pretty sure Baron or Mo will be here for vet min. If they're allowed to sign where they want to.

Crawford may have a poor shot selection, but what is your rational on Williams being better? He's good for getting hot from 3 here and there, what else?

I'd love Shawne back here, and if he came with Crawfords overall skill it'd be great.. But Crawfords the better player.

Best scenario seems to be getting Shawne for the 2.5 and then hoping Baron gets bought out/amnestied and then takes the minimum with us. I dont see us getting Jamal.

EDIT: Jamal is by far the better player than Shawne though KG. Thats nutso.

I wouldn't get too impatient over Crawford/Williams.

There is still a LOT of unsigned players out there.

Williams ... takes good shots, moves the ball, defends, gives us an edge.

Crawford ... baby's butt soft, terrible shot selection, no defense, gives us low basketball IQ.

The Knicks have had a very good off-season.....They have played it right and filled a real need. I like Shawne Williams, however IF Crawford can be had, they should try and had him :D and with the way things are playing out, being patient (a true Donnie trait) may serve them well in this crazy lockout induced off-season....we all have to be as patient as it seems this particular front office group is being.

I am still holding out hope that they bring back Wilson Chandler actually :) I'd rather have him over Crawford and Syrup

But come on you're comparing him to a guy that preferred to take a game winning jumpshot and missed instead opting for a layup with a wide open basket.

Williams is the "safer" choice.. He does his one thing [3s] good, goes about it quietly.. No real surprises...

Crawford certainly comes with more things to deal with, more of a loose cannon.. But more talent too, more of boost you can rely on if we're lacking or Melo/Stat were to go down..

Crawford is better, but he's just too unbearable to watch. When he's hot, he's great and can win a game single handedly. Other games he's just totally atrocious on both ends of the court and will lose it for you. I just can't take it. We'd probably play him 30min a game and start him. He'd lose us just as many games as he'd win for us.

It also means the Jcraw squad will be back. That did bring a lot of comedy to the boards.
