I don't care that they prosecute the morons who stormed the capitol as much as they prosecute the political "leaders" who called for it. They should both get the boot but we need to absolutely ruin the politicians pulling this crap to make an example of them.

Merkel said Twitter should not have banned Trump because of of Freedom of Speech.

Meanwhile, back in Germany they have laws that prohibit Nazi symbolism.

Et tu, Angela?

There is a difference between freedom of speech and breach of speech. You cant go on an airplane and yell "BOMB!!!" and than say it was your freedom of speech. You get arrested and go to jail. Same thing when you make Threats like Hanging the VP. It doesn't apply. They just dont get it.

Agreed. Plotting and inciting insurrection is not just letting your hair down and waving your freak flag. It is an action that transcends mere expression.

Merkel doesn't understand our constitution very well. Private enterprise isn't public free speech. If I start Twatter.com I can ban left handed people if I want, I probably won't be a very successful enterprise.

Now I do agree these platforms need to be publishers and not the phone lines if they are going to exercise control but that's a different issue entirely.

I can't speak to this particular fund but in the past a network of extremely wealthy conservative Republicans, foremost among them Charles and David Koch, and including families like the Scaifes, Olins, DeVos,, Coors and Mercers, would create foundations were they could give money, claim the tax credit and other advantages. These foundations would then give to these other funds that would pursue their political agendas.

The Kochs have been the leaders in having their foundation bank roll organizations with very democratic sounding names: Stand Together, Americans for Prosperity, State Policy Network, etc etc etc... which would promote their politics and ideology, which in the end was all about paying less taxes and removing regulations that may be affecting their businesses.

All very nefarious stuff.

Nice to see this charlatan has stopped playing politics with people's livelihood, now that trump is gone.
Maybe next he will renege on his ridiculous bureaucratic rollout of the vaccine that is causing vaccines to go expired.

One of the more ridiculous takes I’ve seen. If you can’t see where we were and where we are now, that’s bias.
