Per Begley, there is mutual interest and considerable support in the organization for Fournier.

Other names mentioned as being of interest to the Knicks: Lowry, Dinwiddie, Graham, Nunn, Terrence Ross, CP3 and Derozan.

Sexton mentioned as a player the team had interest in, but it’s unclear according to Begley if they still have it.

No mention of Ball.

Sums up very well why I’d be hesitant on Ball, and more importantly any time a team that chooses to let a player walk for nothing in return and seeking better options sends up a giant red flag on that player

While yes I agree you don't want to change a player too far away from their comfort zone, there has to be a middle ground between that and shooting 10-15 3 point shots a game like last season. I don't think taking a shot at him reaching his full potential on a 4 year $80 mil deal at 24 is a high risk move. If he can get 15 points 5 rebs and 5 asts and play good defense every night at minimum that is a huge upgrade from what we had last season with Payton.

Besides trading for a star, this is actually one of the best options currently out there. Not a lot of intriguing stuff to do this summer unless things change suddenly (which is possible).

This makes sense but wasn’t we looking for a point guard that can catch and shoot? At the same time Ball can run offense if Randle allows him.

Should of fired Perry, always dealing with his weak magic connections. Should of use his connections for Jalen Suggs.

Glad he at least acknowledges he’s a PG for the most part.
All week I’ve been hearing this new narrative that he’s a 3/SF. So weird. Like, since when?

ain’t no way Ball can’t go down hill. I get he can’t manipulate out the pick and roll as he’s not a pull up shooter but damn.

I think Malik Monk will be one of the free agents the Knicks sign.

Scott Perry has been trying to get Malik Monk since Willy Hernangomez asked to be traded, and Kevin O'Connor said the Knicks were trying to get Malik Monk in that trade.

Totally agree. I think Monk is definitely a target. Flawed player but took a major step forward last year, has specific stuff he does well, and has upside remaining.

Dude simply plays winning basketball.

Do you get that from the winning he did in Orlando or in Boston last year? :o

hes done more winning than our entire roster combined

just beat team usa

Looks like you are going to get your wish.

It’s become clear that the Knicks want to upgrade from Bullocks position. There is no way they are going to offer him what he’s rumored to want (3 years $12 million per) just to be a standstill 3PT shooter that gets exposed in the playoffs IE: Bullock shot 38% FG and 34% 3PT. Joe Harris is another $18 mill player that got exposed when it mattered most as well for his limitations.

So the thinking (and this is me assuming) that they see Fournier as a professional scorer than can pour in 17-18 PPG every night and shoot over 40% 3PT on 6-7 attempts per game. He can also create off the dribble and is a willing cutter.

He’s clearly not the premier FA target but he must be a part of their plans.

I have the same suspicions about monk being a target of ours. My only thing is we basically already have monk on the roster with IQ. There’s some overlap on some of the positions of this team I see taking shape. Definitely feel like a trade is being set up
