What's our best case scenario with it?

That it’s the number 11 pick because it’s top-10 protected. If it’s close, would they tank again?

Ofcourse.. the last penalty from our spinless commissioner was a negligible fine.

That just seems odd. Like I understand hating someone like Noah who came here and said he was just partying and stealing money. Or other guys who just didn't give a sh*t. But that didn't seem like the case.

Now I want he knicks to beat the snot out of the raps when we play them but I don't want to see RJ or IQ play bad in TOR. I am hoping for a win/win deal. We got a really good player in OG so I am happy!

yeah its really strange.

People are OD. It's too much time on the internet, makes people lose of a sense of reality. It was the same thing when Randle was struggling a few years ago. Going after his family and ****, like relax. With Barrett, he didn't turn out like we wanted him to and overall he's been a disappointment, but he's still young and seems like a good guy. He also stepped up in the playoffs, and was there when we needed a second scorer when others were struggling. That I won't forget and I'm not going to pretend it didn't happen. I get not liking him as a player but people act like he hurt them personally. Hopefully he gets it together in Toronto.

One 3 game losing streak just one time and the Knicks drop from the top of the last HCA spot chase to the bottom of it...these teams are really bunched up but at least there's a gap between the play-in group and them.

...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

I am at least comforted by the fact our schedule has been stupid

Raptors have the 7th worst record in the league with a brutal road trip coming up. If I am Masaj, I would trade Siakam today.
(they owe the Spurs their first round pick, which is top 6 protected)

This.

We have been on the road a lot, playing an insane level of back to backs vs playoff teams from day one. 7 B2Bs in the first 2 months? We had back to back back to backs in the first week of the season!!

Hopefully the team gels an we get our bench right soon. The schedule should be easier the rest of the way for the most part. I am a bit concerned with our bench now. Losing IQ was huge for us. Thibs/Leon need to sort that out. Grimes is the only real scoring option we have and he is scared to shoot the ball now. Deuce/Grimes/Hart/iHart is not a lot of offense but, plenty of defense. I don't see Achiuwa providing much of anything outside of being just a body.

Perhaps shifting Grimes back to starting and letting DDV cook with the bench may help.

Hell if I know, we will probably trade it

we definitely aint adding two rookies to this team

Now that we’re basically out of guys on rookie deals, I actually think we will use both firsts. Those rookie deal contracts are pretty much a requirement of all star trades. Plus we’re going to need an Hartenstein replacement and maybe another combo guard if they don’t make another trade.

They can send him to the Knicks for Mitchell Robinson and Evan Fournier…

I like Siakam, but he shouldn't be on the same team as Randle.

i don't think that the knicks are going to rely on a rookie to be the backup 5 going forward. it seems too important for how thibs likes to play. we're struggling right now with it. i also think there really won't be much room for development minutes at all. i think this trade indicates that they're working their way to trying to compete sooner rather than later.

wouldn't surprise me if the knicks still have these picks come draft night, that they don't make another 1 for 2/3 protected picks deal.

If they keep the picks, they're almost a lock to trade back into future drafts. They don't want players. They want trade chips.

I think they draft one player, trade the other pick into the "future"
