Add producing a news show to the long list of things MAGA supporters don’t understand. This is so dumb and calling this election interference is grasping at straws.

CBS said the need to make the “60 Minutes” interview segment concise prompted the editing. The full interview with Harris took 45 minutes, and it was fit into a 20-minute slot on the broadcast.

Well, both things, according to CBS. Her full answer to the question was the two sentences put together — the first sentence used on “Face the Nation” and the second sentence on “60 Minutes.”

Personally, neither answer sounds all to good. The "edited" version doesn't seem like an actual response and the first one implicates US decision makers in the war (something that would go against the bigger narrative).

We can't compare apples to apples here because Trump doesn't want facts to get in the way of his politics. It is hard to say whether if Trump had chosen to do a sit down, if he would be similarly shown grace if he felt he either over-spoke (imagine him having that insight) or simply did not like his initial answer.

In regards to the specifics of Harris's answer to the question the first time, saying what she did publicly could put the US at a greater risk although by today (we are sending troops to the region now) that point becomes moot.
