It goes back to thibs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He wasn’t being used like this in Ny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He’s playing the same ball he did last year before he fked up his shoulder

The sad part about it, it is the fact that many Knicks fans were saying put Julius in the post, because we saw that the opposing defender wouldn't be strong enough to defend him, and it would automatically collapse their defense by forcing them to double-team and it would leave a Knicks player with an open 3 pointer.

The current head coach of the New York Knicks didn't figure out this simple fix until Julius' last season with the team. :banghead:

Either you see Gabe Vincent plus draft pick for Mitch

or

Rui Hachimura for Mitch, Deuce, and either Kolek or Dadiet

Gabe vincent are you serious?

Ill do Mitch and Dadiet for Rui , but no more.

Why not keep Mitch?

True....but Rui has improved and maybe we can get Adams?

Mitch, Precious, and 2nd for Rui

Then get Adams for the Tax MLE and start him.

Adam’s, KAT, OG, Bridges, Brunson with Rui and Hart off the bench

There are ways to improve and I’m honestly more than ready to deal him… and then he gets another offensive rebound. He can be a terror. I wish we’d play him with Towns.

I love Mitch but unfortunately his contract may be one of a few assets we can use to improve. Thing is he still gives us what no one else on the team can ...so I dont't know...

Exactly. I’m not even sure Kessler could make up for it.

I wonder what running it back could do for this group. I would’ve expected them to punch Detroit in the faces and close this out… but they have no rhythm or even offensive identity to punch with. That’s a coaching issue, not a matter of talent. Detroit merely survives by fighting and clawing, it’s that simple.

outside of the grizzlies, all of the west playoff teams are likely better than us. a healthy mavs squad might even be. ad & kyrie vs kat & brunson. they have good defensive personnel too. could be.

What’s worse is that Randle and Divo made it out the first round before us while going against a much better team.. should I go there or nah

listen, at the very least people here have to admit that randle has played as well as kat in the playoffs so far. if not they're just lying. add to that we gave up donte and a pick. ok, donte hasn't shot great so far. at least it's another legit rotation player. and it makes it easier to trade someone. kat is making 50 mill a year. are we getting the kind of production we need from him for 50 f*cking mill ? hell no. and that doesn't even begin to talk about his defense. And by his last year he's gonna be making 60. so go anywhere you want

Thats fine... but let me tell you how its all Thibs fault now instead of all Randle's fault

Kessler is one of the few I think could. He's like a younger, more durable Mitch with more offensive potential. Mitch is probably a bit better defensively but given his age even that isnt a problem.

Comes right back down to Thibs vs. Talent. Thibs' system favors ISO ball but this team only has 1 ISO player. Give him 2 ISO players and Thibs is orgasmic. Getting Mikal and Bridges while not altering your X's and O's means these new guys are already playing at a disadvantage.

But you also have to consider that the playoffs is geared heavily towards ISO basketball. So we need multiple creators regardless of who the coach is.

I always been of the mindset there's more than 1 way to skin a cat.

Pacers only have 1 shot creator and he's not really an ISO guy, but their system is built on high tempo with the ISO stuff falling to Siakam. Similarly, Thunder don't really have a secondary ISO guy, but their system involves player and ball movement. Detroit only has 1 ISO guy. ISO ball is something that's typically the last couple of minutes of a game. Not an entire freakin' game ala Thibs. Another coach gets more of these new guys because any coach can see where this team's talents are and it's not a grind it out method.

With that said and with this coach, I prefer JB/Randle. The KAT trade was a wasted move if he isn't truly embracing the 5-and-out concept. It's stubbornness at its highest form.

I mean I don’t respect the pacers at all and the pistons aren’t getting past the first round. I’m talking about the teams that get to the conference finals at the very least. You need multiple creators. OKC has a second creator in Jalen Williams.

I do agree randle and Brunson were the ideal fit for Thibs tho over having KAT.

Last playoffs, I was really lamenting that we wouldn't get to see a healthy Randle because I always felt the injuries augmented his playoff issues after the Atlanta series and that looks to be true. I wanted to see a more accurate baseline before making a decision. He's playing really well.

Randle was much more of a Thibs fit than Towns because you could use him as a secondary read and react playmaking hub. Towns can pass but he's not effective once he's in motion like Randle can be. He's a stationary hub and once he starts moving he's going for the score. One thing I'm surprised about with KAT is that we don't have more pinch post actions with him like we did with iHart. That seems like something he'd be good at, especially in a two man game with Mikal and Brunson.

I mean Randle has been kicking it out of double teams for the past couple of years to open shooters. That’s been his game for a min. It just looked a lot better last year when we got rid of rj who was terrible playing off the ball. If there’s one thing Thibs unlocked with Randle, it was definitely that.

I remember how a lot of people said once we get rid of Randle, all of our problems would be gone  used him as the scapegoat for no reason while he’s succeeding on his new team and we look even worse now.

Randle is playing as well as KAT. I don't think KAT is getting a super max next time and I wouldn't touch Randle on his next deal.

It's much harder to project a player and a team (Knicks now great evidence of that!) than it is to say 'This guy is playing pretty well and KAT isn't dominating,' which is evident.

So stop it sham :)

Randle has been a big part of what they're doing but Minnesota does seem very balanced right now and Gobert is cleaning up.

They seem like a team to watch. I'll just stand by what I've said while admitting Randle is exceeding my prediction a lot: I would not want him on a new deal. Regression, mean, to the.

But his offense is fitting in, he's hitting his 3's, defense not hurting them. Good for him. If he keeps it up, I'll admire him honestly.

The deal with a guy like Hart and Randle is their 3 ball seems to come and go. I don't trust that Randle loves the game or wants to win all that much. In fact I think he's had many good statistical years and they seem to be clustered around contract time. I hesitate to say it, bc it's not a nice thing to say (Trump), but that's what I suspect.

Also the Lakers just seemed to be basically half a team.

Antet is the latest savior. Then we'll lose one year and everybody will call him Tall Josh Hart. Wash rinse repeat. The culture of this board is toxic because of sham.
