Fredette averaged 3.6ppg, 1.2apg, 0.8rpg, 38% from the field, 19% from 3 in 50 games with the Pelicans last season. There's really no reason to offer him anything more than the vet minimum. He's not worth $2.8 million per. Let him earn it.

There was also a report that hes considering to go play in Italy

Just take the 3 or whatever days it takes to wait for them to match or not and offer a 3 year deal to KJ McDaniels starting at the room exception already (turns out to be about 3 years and nearly $10 million which could be enough to dissuade the Rockets from signing him). FA is slowing down, there's still plenty of guys that are going to get shut out and scrambling for the vet minimum to worry about losing someone waiting for the Rockets to decide on whether they want to match or not. If Morey insists on something give him Loose Labia in a sign and trade.

could be a steal for us though

vet min 2 year deal with year 2 partially guaranteed

Reddick took a while to get his NBA legs, perhaps Jimmer might yet too

then could clips use stretch provision on jose to create cap space to sign a center?

thats way too good to be true there

Reddick has been a major part of their success

while i agree. he helped them, as much as they helped him.

but don't the clippers generally believe, "it's just business." they just got 2 SG/SF in pierce and stephenson (i know off the bench). but with redick coming out and criticizing the clippers organization for letting DJ go, i'm just throwing it out there that they may not take too kindly to that and will want to move him.

but deep down, it would be too good to be true.

Then he can go. He's not worth anything more than the vet minimum. Working in the Knicks favor? He's from NY. The Knicks were the team he wanted to go to. On paper he could actually fit the Triangle now and could resurrect his NBA career (which is nearing life support) here.

i know he's not a defensive beast, but what about luke babbitt. shot 51% from 3, at 2 attempts per game in 13 mpg. a better version of novak.

I'm in. If not McDaniels (who would fill a great need in terms of defensive wing) going the other way and getting the best 3 point shooter in the NBA last season would also be a great idea. Yep, he's a better overall player than Novak.

No specialists... especially specialists that suck at their specialty ... and no Jimmer.
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.

Yeah man, I'm with it. Might as well force the Rockets to match, worst case scenario there's no way Willie Green gets an offer before they do

He might be an ideal triangle player

major big shot hitter, moves well without the ball, passes reasonably well, high IQ

KJ is cool if we do it..I don't think HOU matches.. KJ played only ten games with them for 3 minutes per after the trade..the Kid was getting splinters... Also Thanasis and KJ seems to be the same type of player. I rather watch our own young players play, grow and develop. Plus we can potentially have Ledo and Early on the roster..... I guess we'll see what Phil does...

I like him, but not for the 2.8M. We really need someone who can break down a defense. That's the most important aspect missing (other than a legit starting forward).
