FA is slowing down, there's still plenty of guys that are going to get shut out and scrambling for the vet minimum to worry about losing someone waiting for the Rockets to decide on whether they want to match or not. If Morey insists on something give him Loose Labia in a sign and trade.

He hasn't even played one second of SL ball and he already has a great nickname.

I'm literally throwing a champagne brunch if JR ends up with 3 years, $7M total.

Yeah..

Or just let it sit into August.. there are always FA's who become available during the season a la Delonte West.

Shved/Butler should be obtainable for the minimum.

I don't even see the team with cap to offer JR more. Why would Cavs gift him that contract? To just appease Bron? Stupid.

JR opted out of that ridiculous contract.

Yeah man, I'm with it. Might as well force the Rockets to match, worst case scenario there's no way Willie Green gets an offer before they do

Yep.

I'm all for waiting 3 days to find out about mcdaniels but who says he's willing to tie himself up at 3 years 10mil. He prob Wants a 1 year deal to establish his value. Problem is that Houston auto
Matches that

RFAs can't sign 1 year offer sheets.

Has to be at least 2.

http://grantland.com/the-triangle/nba-free-agency-winners-and-losers/

Mario Chalmers and Chris Andersen are available for nothing, per several league sources, and the Heat have even put out Shabazz Napier feelers with an eye on carving out extra cap room next summer.

Any team with a need at power forward — Toronto, Indiana, Utah — should see whether they might snag Josh McRoberts for a second-round pick (or two).

I like him, but not for the 2.8M. We really need someone who can break down a defense. That's the most important aspect missing (other than a legit starting forward).

while i agree, how many starting fowards can you get for 2.8M who can break down a defense?

i don't disagree with you, but look at what the hawks did with korver. if you have a known, 3-PT threat, and utilize him correctly (which novak was not, plus he isn't even half the player korver is), defenses will HAVE to cover him, opening up other options, especially in the triangle.

Forwards, probably 1 and that's a maybe. Just think that even another guard would do. From the list I made earlier, these guys are left.
Gerald Green
Alexey Shved
Jeremy Lin
Jason Terry
Norris Cole
Austin Rivers

And true, I wouldn't mind him if we miss out on other targets. Shooters are important.

Oh so 2 years without options so it would be 3 years 10 mil with last year player option
Does anyone know how much he's asking?

With a bunch of young guys here, the worst thing we can do is have an unprofessional idiot like JR in the locker room.

There are very, VERY few things on God's green Earth that could make me stop rooting for the Knicks, but Tyler Hansbrough just might be one of them.
