Well being a Uconn fan I hope he doesnt have a breakout game against us tomorrow!! we need to find a way to limit him.

YEa he has flaws, but if a guy like Marvin williams can go high in a draft based on potential, i have a hard time thinking that many will pass on Jones. He could fall out of the top 10, i could see him going before Knight though, definetly not before Kanter. I think he's a preimere talent. I can just see it in him. He's going to take a little work but i think he can be a Rudy Gay type guy, and has the potential to be better than that.

I'm definitely interested to see what Calhoun came up with during this week for sure. As far as Marvin, he didn't have a lot of time to show his flaws. He was that energy guy off the bench and always provided UNC with the boost they needed. Ironically he reminds me a lot of Julian Wright when he was at Kansas, someone who I thought was gonna be a damn solid player. I do like Jones and hopes he doesn't go this route.

Hell f'n no to Terrance Jones. Classic underachiever. Big pass.

Just curious as to your thinking on this one. I like both players, but wasn't Hamilton essentially garbage his freshmen year? Jones was far the better player of the two considering freshmen years, carried his team for a while granted he cooled off. I think if Terrence is there on the board and we pass that would be insane given his talent. You may argue that he is a tweener, but he will be a small forward in the NBA or PF for us.

If he returns which is probably a long shot and plays with the team they have coming in, he is a sure fire top ten pick easily.

Hamilton is a perfect role player for us. He'd be great in the Extra E role. Jones very easily could end up busting because of his rumored laziness/poor work ethic, and we need to come out of the draft with a sure fire role player. Hamilton is the safer pick.

I don't think it's any different then the lazy chucker that Hamilton was during his freshmen year. He just happened to make the right choice and go back to school and the results made him a better player and a first round pick. Jones like I said does remind me a bit of Wright when he was at Kansas and we know how he turned out thus far in the NBA.

Yea but just because Hamilton managed to turn it around doesn't mean Jones will. Plus, my friend played AAU ball with Hamilton, so I've been pulling for him

I like Jones alot, and i'm far from a kentucky fan so i wouldnt be mad with that pick but yea I'm on board the Hamilton train all the way. I think this kid is a stud and is being really over looked. I like to think I'm a good evaluation of talent (ofcourse we all do lol). Its funny though I was watching the McDonalds all-american game the other night and I saw that kid Anthony Davis and said he is going to be a problem, he's just like KG. Came to work and told this guy that is a Kentucky fan that. lol now I see it in the wiretap, so I guess I wasnt the only one to see it. Anyways Hamilton has just left an impression on me, i think the dude has some real nice skills and will only get better. Id love him as our pick.

No it was all because that Jones got a big F'in no... I was just curious. Either way it's all moot, Id be shocked that he falls to us. I just don't see us drafting a small forward, there a dime a dozen for this system where as big men aren't.

Anyone know anything about Bismack Biyombo? Apparently he and his coach are playing chicken with each other over the Nike Hoop Summit. Going off two youtube videos he looks a lot like Ibaka before the coaching.

Yea, Davis is going to be a beast. You're not the only who thinks so. He's the no. 1 overall high school player on Scout for a reason ;)

Yea, I'm just wary of taking guys like Jones with attitude problems. Especially since we have our "stars" in place.

Biyombo intrigues me. I've never seen him play, but from what I've read he seems exactly as you describe him. His draft stock will depend on his individual workouts.

Basically. He has guard skills in the body of a 6'10 athlete and a supposedly fantastic work ethic. That's a scary combo.

I hope Andre Drummond goes to Uconn!!! lol we havent had a recruit like him in ages. There is a kid who could be the next huge thing in the NBA. Too bad he wont be in this years crop of college freshmen.

Draft express/nbadraft.net has Terrance Jones slipping to around our pick, we need to draft him if he falls. He has a ton of upside. I know he is a SF, but he can play PF in this system and would be the best pick based on talent/upside alone.

If we go big, Markief Morris/Triston Thomas/Kenneth Faried in that order. No way should we be drafting a 2 guard with our pick. Unless Alex Burcs drops to us which will not happen.

I like Terrence Jones but I disagree in regard to Honeycutt. He can shoot the open three which we need, can handle the ball which we need and he is a very good defender which we sorely need. We can't really say which way we have to go since we got a lot of different needs other than starting SF and PF. None of the bigs you listed is really a center which we need more than just a big. Love Burks but as you said, he should be gone (likely around #10). Kemba and Knight might go even higher though actually.

Who is our backup PF though? We have none. If we are brining Jerome Jordan over and possibly signing a big in the offseason then we dont need Center. Plus we can pick up a servicable center in the 2nd round.

We need to go BPO in a way because we dont have much depth. Im not comfortable with taking any center with our 17th pick. If Jordan can play and if Amare/comp can play some spot time @ center then we could use a PF also. Honeycutt is good, but i also think he is a bit overated on most draft boards. Plus due is thin as hell, i dunno if i feel comfortable drafting him.

I also have a feeling that we are grooming Rautins to be our backup SG. Why else would he get his own TV show? He is a very solid player who has all around game, with some hard work and practice he could end up being our backup SG. That would eliminate the need for drafting a SG.

Yea he is, i was hoping both players would put up a choke performance to slightly lower their draft stock. I would love either player @ our pick.

I think brandon knights game is going to translate better at the next level. He's got size, quickness, shooting ability and great court vision. Kemba is playing better so far tonight though.

Kemba is the second coming of Allen Iverson. Called it. Been calling it. Book it. Sig it.
