Been buying China stocks to hedge against US political tensions basically everywhere lol.

TPIC and ENPH for green energy.

ALB for Lithium.

MOS as a fertilizer play to hedge against the Ukraine war.

Still lot of election fears out there so companies are sandbagging earnings. Will be interesting to see what happens to kick off 2025.

Seems like everything is popping except for green energy and weed stocks.

But it looks like algos already priced in a Trump bull market. DOW shot up like 3,000 points. Bitcoin 67k to 76k.

You guys think it will be more?

CNN Fear & Greed Index is at 60/100, signally semi-greedy market:

https://edition.cnn.com/markets/fear-and-greed

VIX dropped from 22 to 15 since the election, signally less volatility an fear in the markets

We'll see how long these effects last.

I've generally subscribed to the Stock2Flow ratio price forecast charts for bitcoin. Simple google will find them anywhere. EDIT: including link for convenience...

Basically, cycle repeats every 4 years, roughly 6-9 months after each halving (also every 4 years).
2016/17 - went from something like $300 (low) all the way to 17k; then bear market back down to 3k... roughly 30x gain to the peak
2020/21 - went from something liek low of $3,000 all the way to 68k; then bear market back down to 15k.... roughly 20x gain to the peak
2024/25 - ??? - i'd guess we got a bull run ready to go right in front of us (timing on cahrt is right, Trump victory is a catalyst, hopefully SEC Gensler is ousted and a bitcoin friendl ymarket emerges... and the fruits of ETF exposure should continue to help it rise. Anyway, my personal guesstimate is we see a healthy (But much smaller multiple) rise to somewhere in the $150k-300k range during this cycle. I personally may trim some gains (<5% of holdings) if/when we hit $150k, try to improve my life with young kids at home.

LETS GO!!!!

BTC is probably going to 140k (as St. Knick mentioned) to 200k ish. (Maybe 80k by next week as it is showing strength, but the volume could be higher.) Governments are buying (and mining for sure) BTC. That is a new variable re the price but the math shows 100k as conservative. We could honestly do that by next week and it would be nothing new or shocking.

Trump was seen as being way more pro crypto as Harris, so when I saw Trump taking that lead early on election night, I dumped all my stables into Solana and EMPY, and most everything broke out bigly. In a similar sense it is why I posted the polymarket betting odds leading up to the election. I was pretty sure a good move was coming. I will start moving some of that Sol into more alts. But I’ll watch and act accordingly, just in case we got a fakeout. (Volume comment above.) It is a lower risk move.

Expect gold/silver to start going crazy too imo.

Between now and next Octoberish, I think we will see (another) historic crypto bull run. (Though it started 2ish years ago for btc.) Hint - Cashing out (that last big one) is not about price targets as much as it is time targets. Those 4 year cycles are spot on… till they’re not. But take profits on the way up as it will get unbelievably violent (like times before). Remember, 30% to 40% moves down happen and are not indicative of the top. And don’t short in a bull market, especially with nations entering the mix.

Thanks for you insight, great to have other like minds to check myself against.
Long and short of it: I've been heavily in tune to the game since 2017, experienced the last 2 bull runs (and subsequent winters) and have only increase my position over time.

I'm thinking instead of looking for one big (5%) sale, I should do increments selling at each milestone (100k, 125k, 150k, etc) along the way

Your chart was important as were the 4 year cycles you mentioned. Well done. One bigger sale sounds good at end. I will try for 25% or so but not sure, many variables.

As I mentioned, be careful (though don’t completely avoid) selling at price targets. If your price targets semi coincide with the cycle end date, then yeah. But if we get ahead or behind ourselves here, then take where we are at if the cycle goes 4 years (Oct/Nov 25’ end date) into account. That is if we trust the cycle. Will big money change that? Maybe.

Imagine Governments buying BTC en mass…

Try to grasp this guys. WOW!

Absolutely I think Bitcoin gets to ~150k during this bull. I think RIchard Heart will melt faces too...after the court case is settled.

TO be blunt, my default behavior is to simply not sell anything, buy $100 or so more BTC every paycheck (to satisfy my itch), and I have a REALLY hard time selling any. Not going to lie, it's very tough mentally to hold after a bull run is over, you don't sell anything, then you see it dip 75%, and you "virtually know" it's going to be a 3 year slog of holding to get back. AFter experiencing that twice, I promised (my wife lol) that I'd sell alittle bit on this next bull run to help "now" expenses (various house project, perhaps a vacation, etc).

My high level financial strategy has been to use all my income today to support today's expenses (thanks inflation!) and not touch my golden goose.. yet. REalyl loathe to selling and triggering any kind of tax events. Always looking for opportunity be as efficient as possible with any transactions made. Got a nice spread of BTC (regular Bitcoin) and FBTC (Fidelity BTC trust in my IRA's). I keep kicking that can down the road as i don't have a great exit plan HAHA (my only weakness!)
