I'm not as convinced that any of the Trump's or the main players will see a day in jail let alone any real consequences other than maybe fines or something. Trump like many politicians and 'crime bosses' have plenty of patsies around to take the fall for them.

I would love to be proven wrong but until then I go with what is the proven pattern of the political world. I'm even surprised that this much has come out already but to republicans and his base it won't make a lick of difference, he's their cult hero and the chosen one.

To be fair, your innate pessimism over this is stronger than mine so I merely pointed to the empirical evidence so far that Trump's inner circle continues to get popped and jailed. This is trend that continues up to very recently with the arrest of Bannon and Elliott Broidy. And Parscale is in custody too. All three are walking encyclopedias on Trump's corruption.

The only way the DoJ is going to restore itself is to show it is not corrupt and there are clearly still powerful people within the department who are not Trump partisans who keep hacking away. Bill Barr has made massive enemies within the department and one term was not enough to purge the department and make it a complete annex to the WH.

Once a new AG comes in they will be unburdened by these WH sponsored criminals trying to suppress their efforts and they will be unleashed. There has been a massive amount of pent-up energy accrued by the clearly obvious internal resistance within the department that is probably going to explode into a flurry of activity once Barr walks out the door.

Biden has no choice at this point but to empower the DoJ to take action, because there is no precedent for this kind of corruption. If Biden turns a blind eye then this becomes the New Normal. That is not going to happen. The wheels of justice have already been turning for a while now. They'll start spinning much faster under Biden. It will be a historical take-down of lots of public officials who collaborated with the WH.

So I'd be shocked if that does not happen. You'd be shocked if it does evidently. We'll just have to wait and see.

P.S. Trump and his circle are the most reckless criminals imaginable. Patsies will not shield them. The evidence trail they've created is quite vast. Just the digital info-sec acquired by five eyes alone will put some of these people away for a long time. Plus, we're talking about treason here, not just fraud. There are so many people within the IC sitting on lots of proof waiting for these bastards to lose and be gone so they can go back to doing their jobs without the deep state crap. They are pretty resentful for good reason so lots of grudges are going to be settled and that is almost entirely bad news for the Trump circle.

I hope you are right. One thing I'd love to see is the hotel in DC Trump leases from the govt gets embroiled in this and they take it away from him. Seeing his name ripped off that would be beautifully symbolic.

Trump wants us all to believe that none of the most credible anchors and reporters in America can be believed. His criteria for their not being believable must be that they disagree with him, or try to ask questions he rather never answer.

He has zero interest in openness or transparency, and less than zero interest in working congenially with anyone whose tongue is not up his butt.

5G licensing has been a matter of intense international scrutiny for very obvious security reasons. Bypassing protocols for bidding on government contracts to just give it to your buddies is NOT normal. Pretending it is means you endorse corruption and don't care as long as it is your team.

All security related discussion around 5G has been about foreign vendors, specifically Huawei.

That's why he started harping about Hunter Biden having a bank account in China because HE HAS A BANK ACCOUNT IN CHINA
