If you show up in combat gear and with handcuffs, it shows intent. Intent to commit crimes. So expect those people to face more severe charges.
I think a murder charge for the death of the police officer is imminent, whenever the perpetrator(s) is/are identified.

Watching their source of funds dry up, I know what’s coming next: broadening their base to try and steal unions

What's the limit of Trump's pardon power when it comes to all of these knuckleheads? Would it have been prudent to wait until after Trump is out of office before they rounded up all these scumbags?
I really hope Trump can't issue pardons to everyone who was arrested at the Capitol.

Nice to see this charlatan has stopped playing politics with people's livelihood, now that trump is gone.
Maybe next he will renege on his ridiculous bureaucratic rollout of the vaccine that is causing vaccines to go expired.
One of the more ridiculous takes I’ve seen. If you can’t see where we were and where we are now, that’s bias.
Do you even think about how easily disproven what you're saying is before posting it?

Local Trumper just walked by me and said "Ready for the War?"
I barely looked up and said, "Nah"
They seemed disappointed they couldn't get a rise out of me

The insurrection is going to be the death blow to the GOP if big business is not going to back them any longer. That's the ball game. If they go into the mid-terms without funding and the Dems can crush them, this will be the sea change needed to rebuild democracy.

I can't speak to this particular fund but in the past a network of extremely wealthy conservative Republicans, foremost among them Charles and David Koch, and including families like the Scaifes, Olins, DeVos,, Coors and Mercers, would create foundations were they could give money, claim the tax credit and other advantages. These foundations would then give to these other funds that would pursue their political agendas.
The Kochs have been the leaders in having their foundation bank roll organizations with very democratic sounding names: Stand Together, Americans for Prosperity, State Policy Network, etc etc etc... which would promote their politics and ideology, which in the end was all about paying less taxes and removing regulations that may be affecting their businesses.
All very nefarious stuff.

Thanks for the context. I really should've looked a little more closely before I posted as I'm not very astute about this network and Clyde had a question about it that I couldn't answer.

Video released today -- of the cop being dragged and beaten with flag poles, etc. -- was recorded about 10 minutes after Trump released his video saying the protesters were very special and he loved them, that he won the election in a landslide, and that the people inside (more or less) have done awful things to them.

There's very little case law on the pardon power of the president bc no one has abused like this clown has. I do think that it's fair to say that the Supreme Court will not approve its used to pardon an insurrection of the U.S. Government.

So the off duty protester cops turned on the good on-duty Capitol cops who didn't go along with them? Amazing. Now it's all out there for the country to see.

Lots of infighting in my family now. After the stunt in the capitol the dems in my family went after the Trump supporters on social media. Trump supporters say the dems are not helping unite the family.
They’re all arguing on and off of social media now. Really don’t want this to destroy and separate everyone but I’ve got people saying Italy uploaded fake votes via satellite now. Not many nice ways to respond to that
