You clearly didn't get the whole...have them play in G League as rookies idea. We can't shuffle players back and forth between the leagues unless they are on two way deals or rookies, that's bring up send down. Pay attention. There is a bigger discussion happening where Wingo doesn't understand how the G League and the cap works.

I think a team can send down any player to The G league. However It will not change the salary cap. The Hawks sent down Timmy after we trade him to them.

Jesus. The team is not sending anyone down to G League that isn't a rookie or on a two way deal. We aren't moving players back and forth that aren't under contract already. We can't just add and subtract players without going over the apron. Period. After February we can add ANY vet minimum salary to the team and stay under the apron. Until then no one is coming to the Knicks that isn't already here.

Can we just agree on this summary by JBluntson?

HW: You can't have anything at all you might actually want until March 1st. Just **** wait. It's like Christmas for 4 year olds itt with you.

A KAT/Giannis frontcourt would be one of the best post 2000 frontcourts ever assembled IMO. They balance each other out so well. If the Knicks have any chance at Giannis, then they should pounce.

Marc Stein said rival teams think we acquired KAT to use in a trade for Giannis. It's happening. Keep raising that value KAT!

Mavs poached Moses Brown. But OTOH, it's just a 10 day and they can't fully sign him until April

We also acquired Towns because he’s a really good basketball player and the cost to upgrade from Randle to Towns was relatively light - a solid role player and mid value 1st.

But as good as Towns has been, you trade him for Giannis without thinking about it. Contender are built around top 5 players and Giannis is that. Even thought he’s entering his age 31 season next year, he should still have 2-3 elite years left.

Brunson/Bridges/Anunoby/Giannis/Mitch
McBride/Hart/Precious

That’s a contender

Luka trade reset the market (thankfully). KAT is due for an extension so I don’t think the Bucks would want him for Giannis. They probably would prefer OG tbh

KAT isn't due for an extension at all. Not sure where you got that from.

Why on earth would Milwaukee want OG for Giannis instead of KAT? OG is on the books a year longer and provides nothing that Giannis provides and nothing that KAT would provide either.

No team would take OG over KAT in a trade for their best player. This is an odd take.

I read it somewhere that he’s eligible for an extension as soon as next offseason.

You want to trade the player Giannis would actually thrive with? He cannot play with rim runners, and you want us to trade the guy that actually works with Giannis, a prolific 3 point shooting center. Nasty work. We got KAT here for 4+ years, be happy.

Don’t shoot the messenger, those are Marc stein’s words brother. And I would absolutely trade KAT for a MVP, finals MVP player that’s in his prime. Nasty work to settle for a much worse player when we can get an MVP instead.

The Spartans killed the messengers, in WW1 runners and carrier pigeons were killed any chance the enemy could get, same in WW2, in modern war we jam signals and destroy telecommunications at every opportunity, killing the message is how you wage effective war.

Nasty work is wanting us to be like the Suns or Bucks, because that's exactly what we'd be if we traded 2 for 1, and left the team with a Giannis/Mitch frontcourt. Giannis hasn't played with a rim runner since 2018 when they were getting bounced in the first round. This is the nastiest of nasty works.
