It was a few ways I could have went with this pick, but I had to keep in mind the team I was trying to build. There are quite a few wing players that haven't been picked that I thought would be gone by now. I didn't even think Pietrus was available. He wasn't on my mind until I ctrl+F him and seen he wasn't picked yet. I was surprised and I had to grab him. I'm kind of glad that Crawford was picked. He was on my mind and if he wasn't picked, I would have picked him. Remembering that cap management is important, I feel I avoided a bullet.

The plan for this team was for it to be a running team, but also be able to operate smoothly in the half court. With Pietrus on the team, my perimeter defense should be great and Oden should be able to protect the paint. On offense, Oden has shown that he can be a force and demand double teams down there. With Randolph having a good midrange jumper it will only open the paint up for Oden. Speaking of Randolph, he is another player that sees double teams often. With Pietrus, Johnson, and reportedly Rose new legit 3 point jumpshot, the spacing should be great and we should be able to execute the fastbreak/halfcourt offense to perfection.

Anyone who has a stretch 4, ala Andrea Bargnani, Troy Murphy or even Antwan Jamison the Wizards are looking to make a trade with you. If any of you are interested in moving those players, my roster is below, let me know if I have enough assets to aquire any of those players from you. Thanks!

You do not need to sacrifice any of your core. There is still a legit stretch four out there who will probably still be on the board when you pick again (because everyone is sleeping on him). However, despite me liking the makeup of your team, where you reached was with the Afflalo selection. You probably could have gotten him in the 7th or 8th round.

I believe the dude you were talking about just came off the board, to the Bulls. Or am I mistaken?
