I think it's a done deal. I just couldn't imagine Amare talking so openly about how great it would be to team up with Melo in NY publicly if it wasn't done. He wouldn't do that to his "current" teammates, whose futures were riding on the deal.

NYK confident latest offer is respectable and could get done for Melo soon. DEN preferred Gallinari over Fields after being asked to choose.

Yeah, ok. So Melo controls the ultimate deal. But if we're that desperate, then we get screwed in this deal. You always have to be able to walk away from the table.

For the love of god, please let this be the deal that gets done. The fillers are probably the same fillers that were going to goto the Nets. Balkman (back to the Knicks, lol), Ely, Williams, etc.

There was talk he'd get bought out if not moved after the trade deadline. He's extremely unhappy in Detroit and is willing to get bought out for less than his contract price. And I'm sure Detroit doesn't mind once realizing there is zero market for him at his price.

oh cut the doom and gloom crap, even if we waited for Melo for FA chandler was a goner anyway, felton was a stopgap PG for 2012 on a 2 year deal
