seems like the workout clouded the body of work at college

including how he couldnt do anything with favors + his weak shot

Shumpert is from Chi-Town so at least we know he's going to ball out when the Knicks visit the Bulls, lol

Always wary of guys who rise fast because of workouts. When's the last time that worked out well?

I love that he is a big athlete. Athletes work well in Mike's system and one of the best things Mike is good at is helping players with their shot. It sounds like he has good mechanics and good form so he can improve and I think Mike will help with that and if he develops that he'll be a steal.

He was drafted to defend the likes of Wade. Rose, and Rondo. There will be minutes for him to get a burn. With Melo and STAT it will be hard for a forward to get enough playing time to make a big difference. Hopefully he works on his weaknesses especially his 3pt shooting.

Analyzing the NBA Combine Athletic Testing Results
May 27, 2011
Iman Shumpert stole the show at the combine, looking like clearly the most physically gifted player in this entire draft class. To start things off, his 36.5' standing vertical leap was the highest since Nick Young posted the top mark in our entire historical database (39.5') back in 2007.

mardy collins problem was he was un athletic this dude was the best athlete in the draft

So what if he's athletic, he still sucks.
I can't believe we wasted this pick on a scrub who won't even play.

He's from Chicago, so hopefully he doesn't hang out with Eddie Curry

I_Love_NYK wrote:The kicks needed a perimeter defender more than a scoring sg. If he can come in and play the opposing sg and make him work Imma fine with that. We got melo to score from the perimeter. Fields was not the best man to man defender. And struggled defending the 3 pointer

Perimeter defense was a HUGE weakness for us last year.... happy as hell we got this kid. Walt Frazier is very high on him as well.

Welcome to the Knicks. It took me all this time to finally rid my brain of Shanden Andersen, and here you are, his clone. How many years before you are gone?

Shandon Anderson WAS athletic and strong, so basically he's EXACTLY like Shandon Anderson.

Are there any Howard Eisley clone guards we can draft?
