This is Lin's greatest test (at least until the Miami game), playing against a veteran team, a playoff team, one of the best defensive teams in the league, and against one of the fiercest competitors in the NBA. He doesn't need a win to pass the test but he'll need to not get rattled, not have a bunch of turnovers, basically still play his game and take what the defense gives. Our goal isn't to have a great regular season, our goal is a championship, and these are the types of teams he'll have to deal with.

Lakers are better defensively and will take advantage of their size. Tyson will get in foul trouble and they'll batter us inside. I don't see this being realistically winnable -- maybe even if we had Amar'e. But almost definitely not a win without.

They are also likely to be a little down with Melo/Amare out.

We need to jump out early and have some cushion going into the 4th.

Key is to get Bynum in foul trouble off pick and rolls to Chandler.

I would expect to see D'Antoni go small with idea of trying to draw Gasol outside to guard Novak -- though Pau will likely kill us on that match-up inside.

Need to get Bynum on the bench with fouls.

Hopefully refs can keep the bull-chit fouls on Kobe under around 7 for the game. Can't wait to see the bull-crap they call on Fields/Shump.

Not a chance. One downside to being the Knicks, especially after insane Lin media coverage, is that Kobe and the Lakers will be amped for this game.

Honestly without amar'e and melo i just don't know if we are going to have enough to take the lakers, but boy will it be sweet if we can go in there with this horrid roster and get a W, haha honestly i'm still kind of in shock we won all these games even with lin playing like this(especially the jazz with chandler being on the bench the whole game) it really tells you just how good lin has been

Fisher is pretty dirty, despite being seemingly a good guy. I hope the refs correctly call his holds, shoves, and flops.

I'd PM you, but I apparently don't have those privileges yet.

Hope that the Cs play them hard and soften them up for tomorrow.

Lakers might put Artest (I really can't call him World Peace) on Lin. Fisher will play as dirty as ever against Lin. Kobe might take his turn too to wear Lin down. Knicks need to step up and defend their PG.

Let's hope. Artest is done.

Very interested in seeing what he can do against a team like this. Big front court and defensive minded players. It wont be as easy to get into and move around in the paint. Big adjustment game maybe.

That is the Knicks best lineup with Carmelo and Amar'e out. Lin needs Chandler and Novak, and Shumpert & Fields are good a getting turnovers and getting out in the open court. Jeffries is just too poor of a finisher at the basket to be a better starting option than Novak.

I wanna be optimistic about this, but i think we will end up losing. I think we will be in the game, but at the end of the day...Bynum and Gasol will be too much. 96-89 loss.

For us to win Tyson needs to stay out of foul trouble and Jeffries needs to have a solid defensive game. Im not worried about Kobe scoring, that is the least of our problems. I think Shump will do a decnet Job...but Kobe will still get his. Lets hope Lin's mid range game is on tomarrow, because i dont think he will get to the rim so easy like he has been.

Hoping for a knicks win, but i wont be too mad if we lose without our 2 stars. Its giong to be a tough, grind it out kind of game.

Just gotta hope playing a back to back while having to travel to NYC will be enough to tired them out.

I Think if Novak can have another say 15-18 ish point game with Lin doing his thing behind an electrifying MSG crowd we can pull off a win. But we need Fields and Shumpert to bring their A game and limit stupid mistakes.
