I really believe we're gonna steal one game in south beach, we haven't lost back-to-back games under Woodson - every time we lost, the next night we came out on fire.

Just gotta make sure we take one game back to the Garden for game 3 - it'll be rocking.

I am not a New York fan, but since my team is not in, will support New York in the playoffs.
Having said that, I feel that Miami has the best team in basketball and is heavy favorite to win the Championship. Still, I believe New York can make the series interesting and maybe even make an upset.
Do not want to make predictions, because I can not be objective, wanting New York to win bad.

whatever. all you guys can be cautiously optimistic. i was exactly like that up until I heard chanlder's comments the other day. they believe they can win, so why shouldn't I.

regular season matchup
1st game, knicks attempt 43 three pointers. That's 2 more than they attempted conventional 2-point shots. No Carmelo, and toney is still masquerading as point guard at this point in the season and played nearly 36 minutes. D'antoni leads them to a loss

2nd game, the end road game during the stretch of linsanity. The point-guard oriented offense leads to miami easily trapping and smothering lin to 8 turnovers while landry fields gets more shots than amar'e stoudemire on the d'antoni offense.

3rd game, no amar'e, no lin, knicks collapse late in 4th. by far the best game of the three.

in other words miami hasn't faced the knick team that they'll face starting tomorrow. i'm looking forward to woodson's adjustments and you best believe he's already gone over that april 15th video tape countless times. i was there at that game and for all the people on the general board stating we have no one to stop wade and james, i can tell you that no matter who spoelstra put on carmelo, the best defensive small foward in the league or d-wade, they could not disturb carmelo in the slightest.

i'm ready. LET'S GO

knicks should bring LJ and allan houston down with them on the trip. Pat riley wants none of the ghosts from the last time the season was shortened by a lock out, and the knicks and heat played each other in the first round. JVG needs to be commentator the entire series.

Vegas has just issued the line Miami by 8.5 points
Tanking again, I suppose. Is there any other way?

Baron Davis sees some of the 2006-07 Golden State Warriors in the 2011-12 New York Knicks.

Davis was the starting point guard on the 06-07 Golden State team that upset the No. 1 seeded Mavericks in the first round of the playoffs.

“The thing we had with the Warriors going against Dallas is we knew we could win that series,’’ Davis said. “And we won it. The confidence was there. We share the same type of energy here with the Knicks, knowing that nobody is counting us in it to win it but what we believe in ourselves in the ability to stop people down the stretch.’’

The Knicks haven't won a playoff series in 12 years.

“We set out with a goal at the beginning of the year and it was to be a championship-caliber team, make the playoffs and play towards a championship,’’ said Davis. “And through all the bumps and bruises we had all having a new coach, we’re still a very good team. We’re a better team than when we started the season. We have camaraderie that is unbelievable.’’

For those who are unsure if we can win a series because we're not "fully healthy"

Let's not forget that Jeremy Lin was a gift from God. No one expected him to be part of our rotation, let alone starter, at the beginning of the season (or on the team for that matter).

Baron Davis, Shump, Melo, Amar'e, Tyson was the lineup that we had predicted to go into the playoffs with from day one of the season. And everyone else on the roster is 100% ready to go (maybe not Jeffries). That's still a damn strong starting lineup. And with Bibby playing better lately, Novak still on fire from 3, Fields off the bench, and JR doing his hot/cold thang, we've got a bench to go to war with.

Let's do this.

Trial by fire for Shump. He's got his work cut out for him. He's definitely gonna earn his paycheck this series. As great a defender he is, he needs to understand Wade is a god on offense, and there are going to be times where he just burns Iman no matter how hard he's d'ing up. As long as he stays confident, he should be fine.

I believe in the rook. Lets go!

All the pressures on them. They have to come out and get game 1. If we take it their own arena is going to sound like the Garden with all the transplanted New Yorkers cheering us on. All the fan up movements in the world won't help them.

Jeffries said on 1050 he's definitely gonna be ready tomorrow. Big plus off the bench for us.
